ELECTABILITY: "You represented inner city slum lords" or "No I didn't praise Reagan, read my words!" |
|
One of these candidates knows how to answer a charge by scoring a knockout.
The other one is knocked on the ropes by any charge and spends the rest of the debate looking like a bobblehead and crying to the media to fire pundits.
There's no comparison, and candidate B would never get out from under the RePUKE avalanche that would come down on him week one after the nomination.

by numerous Clinton insiders and Hillary herself? It doesn't wash....

9. Okay then. I guess you can't answer my question... just accuse me of "frustration" |
|
.... it must be tiring to know that your candidate is full of shit and depends on those he is trying to defeat in order to lead.

10. Your question was irrelevant to the discussion. We were discussing the candidates' abilities |
|
to formulate witticisms, not bickering over the questions that led to the witticisms.

12. How well they play with their opponent's base is utterly irrelevant. In fact, the best lines |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-24-08 08:45 PM by Occam Bandage
infuriate them. "There you go again" did absolutely nothing to address Medicare, but it was a knockout. "Senator, you're no Jack Kennedy" did nothing to seriously address Quayle's qualifications for office, but it was a knockout.

16. And neither was Obama's, no matter how badly you wish to imply |
|
that "change" is incompatible with experienced advisors. Clinton attempted to make that same implication; Obama deftly batted it aside (you'll note she hasn't dared raise the issue again), rather than tediously explaining why she was wrong. That's the kind of sparring abilities we're looking for.

Yeah, Hillary looked bad in the debate. You Shillbots look worse trying to spin it.
