McCain, of old, was no Repug ideologue. He has since then went over to the dark side, and that is |
|
why there is no way in hell I could support him.
Remember back in 2004 when there was talk about Kerry asking McCain to be his vice presidential running mate. I don't know if the rumors where true then, but if true, I could understand Kerry's thought process.
McCain of old held some moderate positions. He was a repug, no doubt, but moderate in the repug scheme of things.
This took a severe turn a couple of years age. McCain embraced the pResidents delusion over the iraq war, and was out there using the terra fear factor, whenever it suited him.
If McCain is the nominee, I think the dems should pound him, again and again, on McCain's Iraq spin, in support of this pResident. It was lies then, and it's lies now.

Check out his voting record,(especially on the environment) He has always been a reich-winger. The moderate maverick McCain is a main-stream media myth.
By even suggesting he was moderate, you feed into the media-pushed narrative that he is the moderate alternative to the liberal Hillary. All of which is false.
A McCain victory will be the final nail in the coffin of what our county was or could be.
