Did you know that the very vocal right hates Mc Cain?
I didn't.

My fella was traveling with his brother over the past few days because of a family emergency, and as a result, was subjected to hours of radio and TV coverage of "The Dark Side". His discovery? Screaming right-wingers REALLY don't like Mc Cain. Evidently he isn't conservative enough for them. Some may even sit the election out, to teach their wayward conservative brethren a BIG lesson. They do seem to like Romney.

Who knew?

3. They all may just sit this one out anyway, since a big pile of kaka is headed
our way and Democrats can be blamed for not handling it right no matter what they do.

A lot depends upon how many Republicans want the next appointments to SCOTUS to be more of theirs.

4. That makes perfect sense. I hadn't thought about it before.
Someone is probably going to have to point out the SCOTUS issue to them. It's not on the radar of most of the Reps I know.

5. My guess is that SCOTUS is the issue that will insure their phony "Pro-Life" base
turning out and those folks like Huckabee and/or McCain, neither of which their power-brokers want, so they're in the middle of a bait-and-switch right now. I wonder why our candidates don't say things that explain to rank-and-file Republicans how they are being used.

They should also talk about what real Pro-Life would be, i.e. + anti-War + anti-Capital Punishment, but I suppose they're afraid of loosing too many Pro-Choicers, so the task becomes how you make the case for Pro-Choice actually being the real Pro-Life position as opposed to the phony, war mongering bill of goods that "Pro-Lifers" have been sold. If our candidates weren't so busy ripping and tearing each other up, they could, ALL THREE, get together and put some REAL pressure on the so-called Pro-Lifers in this country to: win them over; or confuse them; or turn them off completely, so they stay home.

6. I think the Limbaugh's ditto-heads and those like them hate McCain because
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 04:06 PM by patrice
they are responding to the presence of Ron Paul's supporters in their midst. Even though they don't agree with them about War, they don't want their Party to loose them, because of their small-government attitudes.

The other half of that group is the so-called Pro-Lifers who want Huckabee first, or McCain second because he will fight Islam to the death for them.
