15. oh for pity's sake. Obama also won Iowa. Was that "his" state too?
And up until a month of so ago Clinton had a solid lead in SC. Obama did well in NH and NV. You can try and convince yourself that he's not a genuine opponent to her, but he damn well has been up til now, and you better prepare yourself for that to continue.

Why do you think Edwards message of economic populism doesn't resonate better among the black community? Is it just that he doesn't make an extra effort to get their votes and focuses on working-middle class whites?

26. No - he got 1 in 4 white voters and there are three candidates splitting the vote.
He did fine. The 10% from the McClatchy poll was what the press was freaking out about and he is 14% above that.

22. yeah so lets get this

Obama takes over 80% AA vote and only 24% of whites.

The white candidates take 76% of the whites and only 18% of the black vote.

Yeah thats a racial divide alright.

35. If it breaks down then as

If Obama took 80% of the AA vote and they were 50%, then 40% of his total was AA votes and about 10% white votes.

How do you think the MSM is going to spin that.

39. just as we can't pretend that Hillary's performance in the NH diner....
aimed at white women, didn't play a role in her victory there. Sadly, in the South, white people (even so-called liberals) can't bring themselves to support a minority candidate. If that plays itself out on Tsunami Tuesday, HRC will be the nominee, and that makes me sad for the whole world.

40. Obama got 24% among whites. Let's not call white Dems racist
He didn't do as well as he did in New Hampshire because Edwards got 39% of the white vote in SC instead of 17% like he did in NH.

We didn't. People talked about the role women played in Hillary's win.

24% in the South, for a black man. Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived.

32. If this is true, assuming 50% black vote (which I think is expected in SC)
and 50% white, it's a landslide for the O-man.
Obama 52.5% total,
Clinton 26.5% total,
Edwards 20% total.

Latino vote is pretty low in SC, so that's a rougly fair extrapolation from those numbers. Obama isn't really going to win so big, is he?
