You handshake people make me want to puke
Who the fuck CARES??

The WORST president in history just stood in front of Congress for an hour and told one god damn lie after another.

Mr. 935 (that's my new name for him) deserves your wrath, not a Democratic candidate who may or may not have shook someone's hand.

Give it a fucking rest already.

I sure don't feel very sane. I feel crazy for even reading the stupid handshake threads.

3. don't puke on your hands
Very unhygienic, and people might get the wrong idea if you shake their hands with puke-splattered palms.

4. No shit. This is all people have to talk about?
It's not like she offered Obama her hand and he turned away. That's a snub.

Kennedy and Clinton were exchanging some small talk, Obama got out of the way. Big effing deal.

16. I agree, I was shocked to find talk not about tonight's speeches, but instead a handshake
I was just plain baffled when I first checked here at midnight and saw topic after topic in this forum about a handshake, but only like one topic about Bush's speech, and one topic about the Kansas governor's speech. I was listening to the speech while doing something else on my computer, and never even noticed the handshake incident.

Silly me thought I would show up to finding topics saying stuff like this.

"Bush is delusional with all of this stuff he's demanding congress to get done, even he knows it won't happen"
"Bush blames congress for not passing an immigration reform, but he should really be blaming his own party for it"
"How can Bush legally stop all earmarks from going into effect"
"Why couldn't we get someone for the rebuttal who would confront Bush more"

But no, instead I find people heavily debating a handshake and a snub. Petty infighting like this is exactly what could cost us the election if it turns enough of us against the eventual democratic nominee.

17. It's an attempt to manufacture a change of narrative. You know, Obama won SC big.
Bill get chastised by the entire party for race baiting.

This is classic change the subject stuff.

If I supported Obama, I'd post:

Obama kicks Hillary's ass in SC; Hillary rebuffed trying to kiss Obamas ass at SOTU. I'd stick to that, especially the point that Hill was trying to kiss up to the guy that just demolished her. Then I'd link that ass kissing behavior to the way Bill and Hill seemed to kiss ass with the Repos who tried to impeach Bill for a blow job. I'd PM my Obama friends and do tag teams shifts.

But i'm not an Obama supporter.

I think some of the Hill voters though don't realize how they are pushing people into Obamas camp, even though as a Kucinich supporter I'd probably be more politically aligned with Edwards.

The Hillary people are pushing many of the rest of us AWAY instead of persuading us to support her. But do they realize this? I seriously doubt it.

30. And the Obama supporters
are making it almost impossible for Clinton supporters to take a look at Obama.

The arrogance and rudeness (on both sides) is toxic and makes me really fear for November. Don't try and pin it on one side (which is what the respective supporters are doing). This has to stop or we'll all lose.

31. Sorry but I don't pick up the same vibe from the Obama camp
Not only here but in RL as well. I am active in our local county party and in a couple DFA groups. Not only has no one on TeamHillary come to any of our events, (like our SOTU party last night), they haven't contacted us either. The Obama and Edwards people have been coming to our meetings and events for nearly a year. So if Hillary does get the nomination, where is the team she will need to coordinate her campaign here in my area? Building community and relationships has been a part of every other presidential campaign I have worked on or been exposed to. But the attitude from the Hillary peeps is that they don't need us or don't want us. It's actually rather alarming.

36. And when speaking with my local
activists (here in New York), they aren't hearing the love from Obama people. Guess it's all in where you are. And certainly on here it's toxic to the extreme on both sides. The only supporters who listen to others are Edwards'.

Edited on Tue Jan-29-08 11:31 AM by shireen
Really, too many people who should know better are falling for that trap, the MSM whipping them into a frothy frenzy over a few moments when one candidate looked away while another one walked by.

Wanna know why Obama looked away? He saw something move from the corner of his eye .... he turned around and saw THIS:

(from www.hat.net/album/asia/india/10_temples_and_gods/13_bikaner/ 041209224218_temple_of_rats.jpg)

Imagine that! Rats in the House chamber!
