I know that there are hundreds of posts like this already, but I just wanted to add myself to the list.
Here is my story!!!!
I liked Dean in the beginning.
However, I became part of the DraftClark movement and switched to Clark before Dean rose high in the polls and fell.
After Clark dropped out, I supported Edwards.
Today, I visited the Kerry website for the first time. I signed up to be a volunteer and I donated money. (I never donated any money to Dean, Clark, or Edwards. I don't have a big wad and I was waiting until the nominee became clear before making a donation). As I said, I don't have a big wad, but I am going to make some sacrifices and possibly max out in my donations to Kerry. Afterwards, I will donate any change that I find under my couch cushions to either the DNC, MoveOn, or whoever else can convince me that they will make the wisest use of coin to defeat Bush.
I am going to order some Kerry gear, buy the book, and put the bumper sticker on my car. I am going to spend this weekend reading Kerry's policy proposals so that I can persuade my near-freeper friends, family, and loved ones that Kerry is the future of America.
It is GAME ON against Bush and it begins TODAY!!!!!
I hope that most of you will join me and the others who have posted similar sentiments!!!!

This is going to be an awesome fight. I'm signing up today at the Kerry website too and I'm calling my local DNC to find out where to go locally. It's time to kick some butt.:)

3. That sounds great. What is the maximum an individual donor can give? |

I really can't afford to max out in my giving to Kerry, and it is unlikely that I will. My post is very optimistic. However, I will be pinching pennies and giving as much as I can because money is important.
More importantly, as several other posters on this thread have noted, "it is not just about the money." I will also be donating my labor to Kerry and the local dems.

It is time to unite behind our best chance for change at the highest levels.

My post is about one of the most important elections that I have been involved in during my lifetime. My choice of slogan communicates three things. First, I chose it because Bush was his usual asshole self when he used it and Kerry chose use Bush's own phrase to highlight Bush's assholeness (and I think that is cool). Not only does it highlight Bush's assholeness, it highlights Kerry's readiness to defeat Bush in November. Third, it communicates my readiness to back Kerry from now until November.
I really hope that you didn't vomit. But, one of things that frustrates me about democrats is their obsession with naval gazing and triviality.
As is clear from my original post, Kerry is not the horse I backed during the primaries. However, I have young child and a pregnant wife and this election will have important implications for the future of my kids and I hope to join with you in our effort to defeat Bush in November.
I hope I am not being too offensive, but today is my birthday, I'm feeling really good, and I am REALLY optimistic about November. I checked out the smilies and there was no olive branch to hold out to someone you have had disagreements with, so I hope the following smilie sends the right message.

... just that horrible Bush arrogance and contemptible incompetence and the lying to the people brought on by that slogan.I's a gut reaction thing and I can't just convert it over to Kerry when all I can picture is that asshole putting our people in more danger. Can you PLEASE get another one?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY

it not just about the money (though since were facing BushInc money's important too). Get the bumper stickers on the cars (and get a bunch extra to hand out to others). Get involved with voter regristration drives if you can. It's all important.

18. Well, that is one way to look at it, but |

I think that candidates that I backed were all strong candidates, who got beat by the best candidate. I may have difficulty identifying the best DEMOCRATIC candidate, but it is easy to tell the difference between the democratic and repub candidate.
