Did Hillary's campaign ever quietly negotiate enfranching votes with her rivals? |
|
I don't know the answer to this.
I think it does make a difference.
If at some point all three Democratic candidates had come out in unison and demanded that Florida voters be represented with delegates, there's a chance that it might have happened.
If Hillary really cared about such an outcome, she could have gotten her peopel to talk to Edwards' people and Obama's people to negotiate some type of united front.
Maybe she did and was rebuffed. It's always a possibility. If so, she deserves props for hr position now.
However, if instead she decided to grandstand and use this "support" for Florida voters as a wedge issue then it does not speak well of her.
Just a thought.

1. You really think Obama would have supported seating delegates for Hillary? |

Did she try to get Edwards and Obama to join her on this?

2. The united front was that they not move their election |
|
Same as Michigan. That was the united front. The Clintons are clearly violating the agreement. Whether they had intended to all along, which I personally think they did, is another question. To claim these as victories and claim they are fighting for the voters, well it's just mind boggling because what they're really fighting for is continued control of the party.
