Union Leader calls Hillary a LIAR and that she is!
McQuaid’s Union Leader minces no words in slamming Clinton’s post-pledge campaigning efforts in Florida today:

COURTING VOTERS in Iowa and New Hampshire, last August Sen. Hillary Clinton signed a pledge not to “campaign or participate” in the Michigan or Florida Democratic primaries. She participated in both primaries and is campaigning in Florida. Which proves, again, that Hillary Clinton is a liar…

Clinton coldly and knowingly lied to New Hampshire and Iowa. Her promise was not a vague statement. It was a signed pledge with a clear and unequivocal meaning…

New Hampshire voters, you were played for suckers.

2. The explanation I heard (and accept)
she wasn't campaigning she was fundraising. I accept that explanation because she indeed raise funds in Florida and the delegates still won't be seated.

I will proudly vote for the Dem nominee.

3. The pledge said you could not campaign...
in Florida until after the primary is held. She is breaking no rules by going there after the polls close.

It would seem that the Unionleader is your local NewYork Post.

GD: Primaries General Discussion

EXPLANATION

Discussion of the Democratic presidential primaries has become very heated since the primaries and caucuses began. In order to limit the disruption caused by these topics, we are requiring that the discussion take place in the General Discussion: Primaries forum. This leaves the General Discussion forum free for the discussion of political issues unrelated to the Democratic presidential primaries.

This simple, pro-active approach has already worked successfully for us in the past, and resulted in very few instances of threads being posted in the wrong place. If it comes to the moderators' attention that a thread is posted in the wrong place, they have the authority to shut it down. If the moderators have reason to believe that anyone is deliberately posting threads in the wrong place, they can take whatever action they feel is necessary to deal with the issue.

This change is temporary, and will last until the Democratic party has a presumptive presidential nominee.

Thank you for your understanding.

not much else IMO-

I don't think FLA. should count as it stands- but I can't get behind the UL- it's a pretty rude and opinionated rag.

8. And Obama ran a TV ad
Do you REALLY think Hillary has it in mind to get those delegates seated?

Not a chance.

She wants Team Obama to take a stand against having certain votes counted.

Go ahead. Scream your head off. This was a concern months ago, too, before anyone's ox got gored.

19. because it's untrue
she hasn't campaigned in Florida.

BTW, I've asked you five times and you never responded: have you had your computer virus-scanned, because that Clinton cartoon you posted was from a rancid, rabid right-wing site. I'm afraid something is redirecting your browser unbeknownst to you.

she is NOT campaigning in Florida for the 400th time. She will be here AFTER the polls close tonight. She's not breaking ANY rules, and the deal was that they not campaign BEFORE the primary.

Jesus, does anyone read anything??? Does anyone fact-check??

22. New Hampshire
Greater Orlando has almost three times the population of the entire state of New Hampshire and I see more diversity at my local Albertsons ...

They have more right to demand they be first in the nominating process than I have to demand that Scarlett Johansson have sex with me...

The New Hampshire Union Leader is the daily newspaper of Manchester, the largest city in the state of New Hampshire. As of 2003 it has a daily circulation of 61,548; as of 2006, the circulation of its Sunday paper, the New Hampshire Sunday News, was 72,833<1>. It was founded in 1863.

It was called just The Union Leader until April 4, 2005.

The paper is best known for the conservative political opinions of its late publisher, William Loeb, and his wife, Elizabeth Scripps "Nackey" Loeb. Famously, the paper helped defeat Maine Senator Edmund Muskie in his 1972 bid for the presidency by attacking Muskie's wife, Jane, in editorials, leading him to defend her -- supposedly tearful -- in a press conference that some say ruined his image in the state. (See also: Canuck Letter.)

Over the decades, the Loebs gained considerable influence, and helped shape New Hampshire's conservative political landscape. The newspaper's strident tone has lessened considerably since the Loebs died. In 2000, after Nackey's death on January 8, Joseph McQuaid took over publishership.

27. I guess part of it is down to perception
To most non Americans most of your media is virulently right wing. There are certainly people posting here who would absolutely 100% be considered conservatives if they lived in Australia, and from my point of the political spectrum DU itself is pretty right wing.
