Willard Mitt Romney was on MSNBC, and is now on Fox. He is trying to put on a chipper face, but is not a happy camper. He is bitter about John McCain's campaign tactics, which he has described as being dishonest. He says there is usually "little that is ironic" in a campaign, but notes that McCain was the victim of such distortions in 2000.
The Wil-Mitt candidate wants to make it a two man contest, and has begun to say that a vote for Hucklebee is a vote for McCain. I think that Mitt is going to take the gloves off, and get down to fighting in the next six days. He will defend his belief that he is entitled to be president, and will focus on the sense of self-righteousness that only those who have disagreed with him in the past have been fully exposed to.
This could become fun to match.

He and Giuliani are the two scariest in the 'thug field. If, by some fluke, either one became president, we'd have been #%^*ed.

and more vicious the republican primary is, the better I like it.
While I was glad that Rudy ran a campaign that was as weak as Old Fred's, I think that Mitt is only challenged for the "least capable" status by Huckabee. His comment about not being concerned because he doesn't know much about international affairs -- and that he'd simply rely upon the State Department -- should disqualify him for any national office.

10. The conservative Christian republicans I know - loathe McCain |
|
I think he may be easist to beat - they won't vote for a Dem, but may stay home instead in protest - and no church ladies making all those GOTV calls.

The GOP is far more badly fractured than anything we could come up with.

journalists on MSNBC mentioned it, I said to a friend that Mitt is the kid we liked to beat up in high school. I think he will find that John McCain does not fight by the rules that Mitt will demand be enforced.

that some of the men behind the curtain are suggesting he will need to take Condi Rice as VP. That is mighty strange.
