In my view if you keep this out there you would see the female vote advantage for Clinton jump to 40 points in the GE.

1. Didn't hurt Rush
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 04:29 PM by gaspee
Any when he called a 12 year old girl the White House Dog. Appealed to the base of the Republican party. And they really are base.

I'm glad they are all so beautiful and can make fun of others' looks.

Edited to add: not that I don't think Chelsea is beautiful - in fact, I think she is a gorgeous young woman both inside and out who is a credit to her parents.

8. It was the death blow to his already pathetic TV show
that was tanking in the ratings - it probably died a month or two later.

32. I loved Letterman's comeback to Limpballs on this one.
Right to Limpball's face.

"And you can say that," Dave intoned, "because you're such a fine-looking specimen."

3. Did he really say that?
What an idiot.

Chelsea is gorgeous, btw. She went through an awkward teenage period while living in the White House, but if you look at her today, she's stunning!

What a dolt that guy is. I feel sorry for him though. He went through a lot in Viet Nam... I'm pretty sure he left part of his psyche there, through no fault of his own.

9. Hillary could shove that right up McCain's ass but Bill won't let her
He's already made a statement that a Hillary=McCain general election would be a big love in and that he (Bill) and Hillary both have the highest possible respect for the disgustin old fart.

Bill Clinton only talks tough to other Democrats. He wimps out when repubs are involved. He won't even defend his daughter.

37. McCain said that ten years ago - Bill is still praising him
What kind of man would let something like that stand about his daughter.

I can think of two - Clinton and McCain himself who let all the shit Bush said about him in 2000 stand without even confronting him.

Surely we can find better things to fight McCain with.

If we brought up something 12 years old it would look desperate.

23. It shows a lot about his character! He was 61 years old
when he made vile remarks about the physical appearance of a young girl. What is he? A pedophile? Why was he looking that closely, and did he ever stop for a second to think about the damage his remarks could have on a young impressionable mind? Don't underestimate this incident, as it is part of a larger picture with McCain.

16. reading that article is interesting
I hadn't realized that the "joke" had been purposely kept quiet. One reason, I bet, that McCain's nastiness wasn't repeated in the mass media was that it would have been incredibly cruel to Chelsea. Bad enough that he said it; horrific for her to have it repeated and discussed ad nauseam.

Well, she grew up to be gorgeous, and (speaking as someone who looked a lot like her as a teenager and, if I may say so, looks better--though not to the extent she did--with age) it probably wouldn't be offensive to her to have that joke brought up again all these years later, because this time it wouldn't be about her appearance but about the ugliness of McCain's personality.

Bill Clinton: "(Mike Huckabee) is a good man."

Was he a "good man" when he, because of political pressure, pardoned the rapist who raped your cousin, Bill? Was he a "good man" then?

SICK

So much for the values voters and moral majority.

Charity and civility only extends as far as their need to lie on the stump.
