Okay, so I just got a Thank You e-mail from JE |
|
I realize that it's sent out to everyone on his mailing list. I know I'm not special. But I also know a little HTML and I know that it doesn't take that long to update a boilerplate footer on an e-mail, nor does it take long to deactivate a link. We're talking minutes, right?
So here's the thing. At the bottom of the e-mail, you can still click "Make a Contribution" and it still works. Just for the hell of it, I DID! My money, my choice, and I'm sure his campaign (or what's left of it) will use it wisely. I have no problem voting for Clinton or Obama in the general election, but there is no way in hell I'll give them my $$$. As for the primary here in Texas on March 5th, well, we'll just have to see.

1. I'm wondering why I got an email from Joe Trippi yesterday? |
|
He was asking for help to set a campaign record for contributions! You mean he didn't know that John was dropping out?

4. Yeah, they were talking big money. |
|
Edwards said it had nothing to do with money, so I don't thin it would have been a last minute push to cover bills.
They dropped suddenly. Someone had some words. Both Clinton and Obama's websites had pics of Edwards up, praising him. They both want his support, and they have both talked to him.
I wonder what exactly happened. My suspicious mind thinks that Mr. Dean may have given him a ring and told him that it would hurt the party to go to Super Tuesday. Who knows?

5. Exactly .... It's just odd |

What he's said doesn't come off as a Sherman pledge.

Something really big happened last night with long term consequences. The funders had a meeting apparently and laid down the law about who was going to be the next president. Some may disagree, but I think Edwards looked shaken today and I'm afraid of what he knows.

3. I heard that he specifically used the term "suspending" his run so he could |
|
continue to receive matching funds. I'm assuming it's to help with his campaign debt. What a wonderful way for JE's supporters to still support him!
