Suspending vs. quiting?
In his speech in New Orleans, and in email to supporters, John Edwards said that he was suspending his campaign. Does this mean that it can be resumed sometimes in the future?

1. I wonder if he can access the funds if he's running as VP?
Because of the matching funds rules (not sure how all that works)?

2. I was just going to post the same question.
"I am suspending my campaign." What exactly does he mean?

4. I noticed that , too.
Suspend instead of "end"

Very interesting choice of words.

If he still wants us to vote for him even if he suspends campaign activities, why doesn't he just say so?

6. I am also wondering whether I should send a check
to support my pledge to his campaign.

It is not as if I cannot use the amount pledged...

10. suspend == keeps his delegates, stays on ballots
He has not released his delegates yet either, nor endorsed another candidate. Dean did the same thing in 2004.

He probably won't restart his campaign, but he's still keeping his delegates (and endorsement)
