Anyone want to guess how long after Super Tuesday before the next Dem candidate is kneecapped into dropping out?

Time is money and its likely the big funders are tired of spending money on the primary.

2. Just for fun they'll stay in a while longer

the media like having two--and their positions are similar so the corporations won't care--no more air time for ideas they don't like. Besides, the media wants a "horse race".

3. I don't think they'll let it go to the convention, though

with all the money spent by the campaigns so far, the funders are probably wanting to cut costs. Someone will get forced out.

POST ENDORSES BARACK OBAMA


January 30, 2008 -- Democrats in 22 states across America go to the polls next Tuesday to pick between two presidential prospects: Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

We urge them to choose Obama - an untried candidate, to be sure, but preferable to the junior senator from New York.<snip>

For all his charisma and his eloquence, the rookie senator sorely lacks seasoning: Regarding national security, his worldview is beyond naive; America must defend itself against those sworn to destroy the nation.

His all-things-to-all-people approach to complicated domestic issues also arouses scant confidence. "Change!" for the sake of change does not a credible campaign platform make. But he remains a highly intelligent man, with a strong record as a conciliator.<snip>

Finally, Sen. Clinton stands philosophically far to the left of her husband, and is much more disciplined in pursuit of her agenda.<snip>

5. GOP mouthpiece here - Plain Dealer- did a glowing editorial of Obama yesterday

That would be my guess. They will force Clinton out after Super Tuesday and lead their lamb to slaughter in the GE where he will lose to whoever gets the GOP nom.

Four more years GOP - its in the cards. That's why I'm done campaigning for now.
