5. This is not in insurmountable problem for Barack, but he better be
careful how he handles it. Thom Hartman said today "You NEVER rise to the point where you run for President of the US hand have totally clean hands!" I believe that...always have.

10. I wonder how much they were paid. I knew he was a financial officer for the campaign,
but I did not know he actually campaigned for him and his family did to and got paid as well.

14. I get it: Hillary is a part of the past but Ted Kennedy is not
Hillary is symptomatic of everything that is wrong with Washington
but Teddy is not. Washington is broken but Teddy is not.

got it.

17. Many attributed Ted Kennedy as the reason President Carter lost to Ronald Reagan
which brought in the conservative movement.

35. Many have looked at Carter's approval ratings and seen
he was in trouble well before Kennedy entered.

It wasn't just Carter, entrenched Democrats lost - from Nelson, Bayh, Culver, Magnusun to McGovern.

34. Clintons ACCEPTED Reagan's view of governance. Kennedy never did.
The era of big government is over. Just like the DC establishment powerstructure wanted from their tapped Dem players.

I'll stick with the liberal stalwarts over the DC powerstructure players.

12. You have to read some of the other stuff on that site. It's hysterical! I LOVE
this one:

The residents of Florida are saying that they had a lot of young people from some years and they wished to get some experienced people to take the control of the country.

Many of the olds have already given their votes in the state Florida .John McCain, 71 one of the senior candidates in age among the republican candidates is expected to get the benefit of the old ballots.

In the Florida primaries it is predicted that Mr. McCain will be benefited from the older votes that comprise the 16.8% of total votes in the state. The republican candidate Mitt Romney is also a competitor for the old votes in the state.

25. here you go!
In 2003, Obama announced he was running for the U.S. Senate, and Rezko -- a member of his campaign finance committee -- held a lavish fund-raiser June 27, 2003, at his Wilmette mansion.

30. Thanks for the link. It illustrates perfectly why this is a NON-ISSUE!
Ok, so Rezko was on Obama's campaign finance committee and had a fundraiser! OMFG! The link also points out some great points that show, as Patrick Fitzgerald has said, did no wrongdoing.

The article mentions this:
Obama was a student at Harvard Law School and got an unsolicited job offer from Rezko, then a low-income housing developer in Chicago. Obama turned it down. (1990)

Wow. Guilty! :sarcasm:

Obama took a job in 1993 with a small Chicago law firm, Davis Miner Barnhill, that represents developers -- primarily not-for-profit groups -- building low-income housing with government funds.

One of the firm's not-for-profit clients -- the Woodlawn Preservation and Investment Corp., co-founded by Obama's then-boss Allison Davis -- was partners with Rezko's company in a 1995 deal to convert an abandoned nursing home at 61st and Drexel into low-income apartments. Altogether, Obama spent 32 hours on the project, according to the firm. Only five hours of that came after Rezko and WPIC became partners, the firm says. The rest of the future senator's time was helping WPIC strike the deal with Rezko. Rezko's company, Rezmar Corp., also partnered with the firm's clients in four later deals -- none of which involved Obama, according to the firm.

FIVE HOURS! Doing assistance with incorporation papers! Run for your lives!!!!

In 1995, Obama began campaigning for a seat in the Illinois Senate. Among his earliest supporters: Rezko. Two Rezko companies donated a total of $2,000.

OK, granted it was nine years before Rezko was indicted, but why didn't Obama see into the future???

The doctor sold the mansion to Obama for $1.65 million -- $300,000 below the asking price.

Take a real estate class at your local community college and the first thing they tell you is that the "asking price" for a piece of property is inflated 99% of the time.

Obama paid Rezko's wife $104,500 for a strip of her land, so he could have a bigger yard.

Obama wanted a BIGGER YARD!!!! OMFG!!!!!

The Rezko contributions were given to charity, The Chicago press has fully vetted this story for years. The attorney general in the Rezko case, Patrick Fitzgerald, has stated several times that Obama has done no wrongdoing.

26. that`s really funny
i just spent a few minutes actually reading the latest newspaper and other sources about this case....the judge was appointed by....george bush in 2002! fitzgerald is --not--pursuing any charges against obama or the governor of illinois. fitzgerald is after two guys-rezko and kelly, a guy who fitzgerald is going after for tax evasion.

sorry......obama`s not even on fitzgeralds hit list and won`t be. you`ll just have to wait till hillary wins the nomination and obama won`t vex you anymore...

32. Not Until the General Election
The contributions to the Clintons by people like Marc Rich's wife, Denise Rich, would blow up in her face faster than you can say "1996 Asian Campaign Finance Scandal." Or even "Norman Hsu."
