Well my candidate dropped out however....
Just because the two left are far from perfect, doesn't mean I don't care about some things...
I care about Roe vs. Wade NOT being overturned
I care about our troops coming home from Iraq ASAP (listen to Mccain he parrots Bush on "no timetables")
I care about not invading other countries on flimsy excuses
I care about upholding our constitiution/separation of church and state
I care about helping to fix our broken economy and NOT by giving the wealthy permanment tax breaks
I care about my privacy and the civil liberties that the Patriot Act squashes on a regular basis
I care about having allies
I care about NOT torturing prisoners at Guantanamo.
I care about gays being treated as equal citizens in this country.

Any of you pathetic children who whine about I can't vote for these corporate shills, don't belong on a board dedicated to promoting the DEMOCRATIC AGENDA. And those of you who vote third party or not at all..The Republican Party thanks you for your support. Because if our turnout is low, that gives them a HUGE advantage.
There. Now flame away!

3. Enough already, sheesh every since Reagan the retard changed the american
thought process we never get the very best of the best of our party running for president, we get what we get. After all the majority of the numb nuts out there believe that as bad as republicans are Democratic are just as bad. Instead of focusing on the fact that even the worst democratic office runner is 1000 times better then the best of the republican runners, the numb nuts will search out any and all facts or half facts to prove that Dem's are no better then Pukes. Even the corporations that support Democratic runners know that all they are doing is buying some damage control, even the biggest Democratic money whores have a bad habit of bitting the hand that feeds them when push comes to shove. How many times have we had to hold our noses when pulling the voting lever since 1980? Bill Clinton was not my choice but I voted for him, just because I was tired of the puke slime machine. So suck up and get these puke bums out. Its ok to be disappointed but its not ok to give pukes power.

6. Thanks for your post
Whilst critiquing our candidates is healthy, I feel we go too far when members of this board parrot smears against them, and resort to stating "if X gets the nomination, I'm staying at home!" which is cutting your nose to spite the face.

I have many reservations about some of the policies of Obama and Clinton, but I'd still take either of them over any GOP candidate any day.

Remember we also need a Democratic President to work with a Democratic Congress.

9. I agree with you...
I've voted straight-ticket Dem my entire adult life. No exceptions... not one. I wouldn't dream of it... IMO there's just too much at stake.

I can understand that some see the situation differently. I can see why some have the impression that sitting on their hands and watching as things become worse more quickly is an effective means of affecting change more quickly.

But the very planet we live on hangs in the balance now. People need to stop dicking around. This is no longer just about taxes or wages or jobs or help for the poor.

10. Hmm, let's see here
Roe v Wade, well that went out the window when the Dems rolled over for both Roberts and Alito(but hey, their powder is still dry)

Troops coming home, nice thought, but a real shame that neither Hillary nor Obama can make the promise to bring them home within their first term, and both are saying they will leave troops in to guard US installations, train Iraqi troops, and go on combat missions against "terrorists."

Not invading other countries? Kyle/Lieberman.

Uphold Constitution? Nice thought, shame that the Dems, including our candidates have done next to nothing to help that process along.

Helping our economy? Either one of them pushing for a repeal to NAFTA, globalization and other such measures that have stripped our economy of well paying manufacturing jobs? Either one of them pushing to restore Glas Steagal, which was gutted under Bill?

Allies? Continuing to occupy Iraq and meddling in the Mideast, as both have stated they'll do, isn't likely to win over allies. Neither will continued saber rattling at Iran.

Stopping the operations at Guantanamo Bay? Nice platitude that they have there, but they're really short on substance. Other than saying that they want to close it, neither of them have a plan in place to do so.

Support of gays? It should be obvious that with Hillary's support of the DOMA, and Obama's pandering to the anti-gay crowd, this issue is going to take a waaaaaay back seat, and won't be brought up again until the next election cycle.

Neither of these two candidates, despite their protestations to the contrary, is a force for change. Rather they are a force for continued ongoing servicing of their corporate clients' needs and wishes. If you want real change in this country, you're not going to find it here.

11. Thank you Rush Limbaugh.
I think you got just about all the RW talking points. And they have TRIED if you haven't noticed. But attitudes like this will NOT increase the dem majority in Congress or win the WH.
But just keep whining. As I said...I think the RW LOVES people like you. You do their work for them.

14. Maybe
But I'm tired of this shit. I have political insider relatives and I KNOW that most Americans want candidates that are willing to work with the other side of the aisle. The extreme left who do NOT understand what mainstream america and looks down their noses and don't understand that compromise and bipartisanship is desired by most Americans are not only deluded themselves but torpedoing the Democratic part. Liberals make up only a small part of the party. Conservs and moderates are needed to. And screeching about the "corrupt candidates" isn't gonna help.
BTW, did you notice McCain is being marketed as willing to work in a bipartisan way? Thats what most americans want. Maybe not most DU'ers but most Americans. I am a pragmatist.

15. Yeah much to gramps disgust, dad always bragged that he split his "ticket"
so neither party would get the majority. Where dad got this from remains a mystery but he still swears its the best way to vote. Gramps wouldn't vote for any repukealator even if it was to wash out the back of the dog catchers truck. But then gramps seen the Hoover economic trickle down shit first hand, lost the family farm the year dad was born, 1931, then doing odd jobs until he got to work in a factory during WW 2.
