5. Hi, Padraig18. Good poll. |
|
I voted for "the Democratic nominee" but haven't really made my mind up yet. My state's primary isn't until May, so other DU-ers will get first crack at deciding out nominee.
Thanks for the poll.

The Bush administration seems to lie every week. I don't like that flyer, either, but comparing the honesty of Dean with the honesty of Bush, Dean is much more honest.
I could easily vote for any Democratic nominee over Bush.

Have you ever been to Guyana?? that's about the Koolaidest of the coolaid alerts...I don't know your background, so I probably would like you, so lets just meet there, if you are a FREEPER,I will do you up right, anyway...Anyway NRA doesn't stand a chance on me, since I got my "marksman's badge" in 1972 as a 11 yr old...so bring on Moses if that's your thang. My friends there wouldn't talk about that incident, seeing as how it was pretty much out of their jurisdiction and they had no say-so on it...over 900 people dead, so just where the fuck do you think you have a connection there?? Do tell, I am way all ears here.

54. Rove is laughing his ass off right now. |
|
The original comment by Dean was to suggest that the Dem candidates who are piling on are also pissing off the very people they will need to win. I am as pissed off as you are, but I prefer even Lieberman to George W. Bush, even if I cannot muster the same enthusiasm for somebody who has to win by knocking his fellow party members down. With Dean on the ticket, I might bring some friends to the booth on Election Day; with one of the bad boys, I'd probably show up alone.

And you can keep fearing him, I do not care. Rove is no concern of mine, he is nothing more than a small roadblock on Dean's way to the White House, one that will be removed.
If you want to stop Rove's laughter, vote for Dean, because that is the only way it will happen.

45. I Work on Dean's campaign, but Kucinich is right up my alley, too, |
|
And why not? I don't think Dennis is going to make it this time but I don't really see any discord between what Dean and Dennis have in mind. So just think about somewhere down the road, and don't fall for that candidate slamming that the lesser lower life forms fall for. Because whether Howard Dean makes it or not (in spite of all this 2nd grade bickering), I feel that Dennis Kucinich is about the same as far as ideology as Howard Dean (a good thing) Sooner or later both of those guys are going to be in some sort of office that will allow them to LET THE PEOPLE SPEAK. And that's what we have to aim for. Think about it, and let's not allow all that rhetoric get in the way. I really think as long as we have both of these guys in some sort of influential position, we will be so much better off. And I am so DONE with this grade school bickering, which Dean and Kucinich have pretty much kept themselves out of...duh....I'm too old to play that game, think and think HARD.

I'm in Texas. Our state will go Red. So, in an attempt to do as much harm as possible to the GOP, I vote Libertarian. If their party gets 5%, they get matching funds. And they certainly take more votes away from the GOP than the Dems in the following election.
I encourage all Dems in Alabama, Georgia, Utah, etc to do the same.
If I lived by the Arkansas state line, I'd find friends who live in Arkansas and borrow their residence to legally change state residence.. just so I could vote in AR in 2004. My vote would matter much more there.

Assume a deadlocked convention and Terry McCauliffe walks out of a room and announces the Lieberman/Miller ticket or worse, the Miller/Bayh ticket.
I am not one to give a blank check for a "whoever that may be." We had enough of blank checks, the IWR being the latest.
I am not voting in this poll.

Generally, I'd call myself ABBXL.
(Anybody But Bush eXcept Lieberman)
But how I actually vote in November will depend on a lot of things.
If it looks like a close race in the Granite State, then I'll vote ABBXL.
If it's a blow-out one way or the other, then I'll probably use my vote to "send a message".
In this situation, the message that I would choose to send depends on lot on who the Democratic candidate ultimately winds up being, how badly MY candidate was treated on the way to the nomination, and how badly the Democrats mangles the Progressive message during the campaign.
Lieberman, Edwards and Gephardt are obviously right out of consideration. DK, AS, and CMB would almost certainly get my vote. Kerry and Clark are a toss-up. (And yes, I would look at what the candidates themselves are saying, not their supporters, but a candidate, just like anyone else, is certainly known by the company that they keep.)
