Obama wins ColorOfChange Poll - 69.2%

Results: Presidential Primary Poll

The initial results are in from our primary poll! We wanted to give our members and those interested in how the ColorOfChange.org membership —a group of nearly 400,000 Americans interested in racial progress—see the primaries.

Note: a complete report with age, race, and other breakdowns will be available later today.

More than fifteen thousand members weighed in, with Senator Barack Obama garnering 69.2% of the votes.

-snip

Barack Obama was the clear winner of our online poll, with almost 5 times as many votes as John Edwards, who took second place.

More than 85% of Black members who responded voted for Obama, as well as 54% of White members, and 58% of Latino members.

When Senator Edwards withdrew from the race, we asked members who voted for him who they would then support. 57% said they'd now vote for Obama as opposed to 9.6% for Clinton. Note that 76% of our members who planned to vote for Edwards and specified their race/ethnicity said they were white.

2. Good news -- his numbers with Latino voters are up
as they are with whites. No matter HOW the sucky MSM tries to spin it, he's NOT a marginal candidate; he has across-the-board appeal.
