1. The True Believers
Wow, I used to see them in Austin all the time. Great band. Hard Road, with that wall of guitars - Jon Dee Graham and the Escovedo Brothers. Man, that really takes me back.

oh, uh, nevermind

a kick to your thread, then.

I will be curious as to what they say happened. A lesson can be learned from everything.

6. is this a bashing thing, or objective ?
the cnn advertisements for this seems like it will be negative. about how it all fell apart, how it everything went wrong. but that might just be a way to get more people to watch it. the actual show might be objective.

7. Most of us think it is about Trippi et al.
I can not imagine CNN doing anything about Dean that is very nice. However, if you look at most of it objectively, at least the parts that are available....it appears to be a venue for those who worked in the campaign.

There is one part showing the "speech", under NH section I think, where they give totally new views of it. It sure reveals a lot about how they spun it on the media. I was surprised to see that in there. It was vindicating Dean. Don't know how they will handle it in the final airing.

Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 03:03 PM by mzmolly
some flattering stuff, some not so...

I guess we'll have to wait and see. I do hope that they stop putting Dean through the friggin media ringer though? :(

Either way, I look forward to watching. Im sure I'll need my box of tissue and a good glass of wine.

8. depends
on who you ask. To some, any criticism of Dean or the campaign is smear work. Bottom line is he was the front runner and it all went south based on a whole bunch of different factors incuding overplaying the scream. Hopefully it's objective but I wouldn't count on no claims of bias on Monday morning.

11. LOL
kinda wondered about that title too. :hi:

I think it's because Trippi said he really believed in Dean (like no other candidate he worked for) Boy do I know how *he* feels!

16. True Believers?
The soaring rise and flaming crash of Howard Dean's presidential campaign from the inside looking out.

This will not be pretty!

And then there were none!

18. "...soaring rise and flaming crash" ??
I'll ask again: who on earth writes this stuff?

It makes me wonder if these guys get bonuses for melodramatic hyperbole.

19. Do a google on "true believers". Methinks we are being insulted. LOL
So many things come up, none of which I would like especially to be.

Let's see, how many states have primaries on the 9th? Why not feature a Kerry special? Why keep beating dead horse Dean?

Oh, well. I'm a believer.
