Did newspapers endorse primary candidates before 2008? |

I can't remember the NY times, the NY Post or any of the major newspapers endorse a candidate.
Why are they doing it now? I knew there were a few newspapers that probably did it, but how many?
Given the high number of endorsement received by Barack Obama, this is my theory: The media hate Hillary Clinton.

I once heard a great man say "You only recognize that which you know." That means that after you become aware of something you start seeing it every where.
Now that you've read about newspaper endorsements, you see them all over where you never noticed them before. My statewide newspaper runs editorial endorsements for every election, big or small.
