Obama's robot called me on Sunday. He's gone! |
|
We caucus Tomorrow (Super Tuesday). I've been enduring robo-calls for better than a week from everybody, so that's no big deal. But Sunday is just too much!
First, Cindy Lowery, candidate for my state district in Denver, robo-called me. She's out!
Then Barak's Robot called me when I was napping, and left a 1:30 minute message!!!!:wtf: No fucking way!
I know all about "It's the country Stupid" but this is also my phone. I paid for it, and I pay the monthly charges on it. They have no permission from me to use my phone (remember, the one I pay for, not them) to beg for my vote. If they called personally that would be different, but robots are insulting, and Sunday is beyond the pale, especially for a Prez candidate that wears his Christianity on his sleeve.
Hopefully they haven't taken Edwards off the caucus rolls yet.

2. I think you are overreacting |
|
I respect that your right to privacy is of great importance, as mine is to me. But, I don't recall an election where I haven't received automated calls. I have even gotten several in past elections from President Clinton, imagine that. One year I remember getting a couple from movie stars.
I don't think this is the reason to make a decision as to who you vote for. I hope you will make your decision based on who you think will be the best leader for a country.

If you're seriously basing your vote on who does/does not send autocalls your way, it may be better for everyone if you move to a residential facility for the remainder of the primary season, where you can get a good spot in front of the starin' window and relax in peace.

A couple have gotten it. The rest off the deep end.:eyes:
No, I'm not serious about using robocalls to alter my vote.

I made my decision last month. Unfortunately, My candidate "suspended" his campaign. So now my choice is between two corporate whores. Oh' what to ponder?

Please don't lecture me about grass roots politics. I get heavily involved every two years. I also know that too much turns people off.

10. That is ridiculous. As if... |

1). Hillary's campaign isn't calling frantically (they are). 2). Grassroots participation in politics is something to be ashamed of.
Admittedly robocalls suck, but it's not as if either campaign is a stranger to them.

The robo Corporate state candidates and their robo machines want our votes so they can robo us after they are elected.
While the two people that stood with me, Kucinich and Edwards, are gone.
As they didn't snuggle up to the Robo Baron Companies fast enough!

You know it's going to happen. Turn off your phone, and you don't have to worry about it. If you got a cell, people who know you will be able to get ahold of you anyway.

Both candidates were on the job yesterday as well.
FWIW, I don't know who is making the robocalls, but my group does phonebanking for Obama and we were specifically told not to call yesterday.
I was tempted to break that pledge because I was bored with the SuperBowl coverage, but I didn't.
