3. Do remember 2004?
Things got out of hand for awhile. It was hard to believe that everyone belonged to the same party.

We're still on the upslope. Soon, we'll be rolling down the other side, crushing pukes in our way.

6. A pox on practically everyone involved in this entire fiasco......
The candidates for taking what should have been a glorious celebration of the strength of our party - they turned it into another nasty political season.

Their supporters for feeding into and magnifying the negative aspects of the race.

The media and the political establishment for continuing to lie to the public about OUR election process.

The corporations for taking control of the government and turning America toward a fascist future.

The republicans for fouling political discourse.

The democrats for wasting the best chance for a real progressive revolution - they fear to lead but settle for taking over the throttle of the train to oblivion without giving a thought to changing tracks.

Me - for losing the idealism that died with Bobby and Martin.

The non-USA world for not fighting us enough on warming, foreign policy, etc.

The American people for choosing to be fooled because we are too damn comfortable.

DU for losing sight of the real enemy...

10. And the good news is????
Holy shit - it's not ALL doom and gloom.

Shrub made his last SOTU ever!

Both Obama and Clinton are leading McCain in the latest CNN polls.

The Dems will unify (as will DU) after the convention in Denver this summer.

We have a damn good chance of significantly increasing majority rule in the House and Senate.

And - idealism is not dead. Talk to young people at the Obama rallies - tell them that!

I see ton's of idealism left....

11. The only good news is that a right-wing Dem may slow down the descent for
a short time, but after four years of DLC-rule, any hope for true liberal progress will be lost forever. At least, in corporate Amerika.

This is not a major victory, only a brief respite instead of the significant advance it could have been.

13. You can shove your kumbaya crap! What do you think this is, the fucking Lounge?
Heh heh... ;)

Hang in there, helderheid. Don't let all the vitriol and the outrage that has all but taken over this forum get to ya. It's almost over.

You ready to get out and vote tomorrow?
