How close is it? The popular vote is a virtual tie
This is a quick add-up from the CNN web site, and not counting California, which has 10% reporting.

Total votes cast: 10 million
The difference: I have Obama up by 40,000.

That means; Obama 50.2%
Clinton 49.8%

This is not winner-take-all in each state - the delegate totals will probably reflect the total popular vote, rather than who-won-what-state.

It's close...

And also... the Republican total votes is 5 million. That's HALF the democrats.

So (just for fun), let's use the primary votes for each candidate and do some match-ups!

Clinton vs McCain: Hillster 66% Old geezer 33%
Obama vs Romney: O-man 73% Gumby 27%
