He won't win the red states he won last night because there are more Republicans than Democrats, and Idaho, Utah Republicans ain't going to vote for Obama.

Obama would be a disaster.

27. I think she has a good chance of winning VA....
Va's population is more than half female. I've seen the analysis that the "upscale" Democrats in northern va will go for Obama, but I disagree. I used to live in Northern Virginia and there are a LOT of single women working for the government that I believe Hillary Clinton will appeal to. In the rural area where I live now I'm starting to hear more women talk about seeing the election of the first woman president. While many are republican and would probably not admit to voting for Hillary, I think voting for her will be their guilty pleasure.

30. Scuse me
Out here in the barrios of CA we brown and black people (yes, a whole bunch who speak nothing but spanish) would rather vote for the devil than McCain. We'll gladly vote for Obama if he's the nominee. And matter of fact, most of us would have voted for him were it not for her political machine revved up for years years here and that most of us are ignorant about what's really behind the Hillary machine (i.e. Mark Penn etc) Whachabin smokin?

19. try to pay attention, mucky
Obama is far more pro immigration reform than McCain, and he's been backtracking like mad. He won't find it so easy to try and return to the center in the general. cue the video tape. Why would you think that latinos won't vote for Obama in the general? I mean just because you won't vote for him for obvious ugly reasons, doesn't mean that latinos are all like you.

Just because latino voters prefer Hillary to Obama does not mean that they prefer a Republican to Obama.

Richardson would be a great VP choice for Obama. He would bring in the Hispanic vote and he has experience in many areas of government, including foreign policy.

It's as stupid as saying that Clinton would lose in the general because African Americans won't vote for her.

You also understand that regardless of which DEMOCRAT wins, his/her opposition will include "Giant wall with armed guards between here and..well..everywhere" in his platform, right?

24. If the numbers of people who voted last night are any indicator
then you're wrong. Last night democrats received 90,000 more votes in Georgia than republicans did.

Tennessee had more than 66,000
Oklahoma had more than 71,000
North Dakota had more than 9,000
Arkansas had more than 75,000
Colorado had more than 65,000

I admit that this is a pretty rough sketch, but I like where we stand.

I don't believe that conclusion is warranted from the results so far, just as the conclusion that Hillary would lose the African American vote wouldn't be warranted.

28. McCain would win California??? I don't think so.
He is still for this "war" and wants us to stay there. California Dems outvoted Repubs everywhere in the primaries. There is more turnout on our side.

Seriously? They HATE the Clintons. If Obama is our candidate, they'll just stay home. If Hillary is the nomination, they'll come out in mass just to stick it to them.

31. It is impossible for an anti-choice candidate like McCain to win California.
Impossible. You don't know anything.

Californians voted down even a "parental notification" requirement for teens to have abortions.

The only reason Arnold ever got elected was because he was pro-choice.

McCain is anti-choice and he can not win California.

Period.

32. "Latinos" do not vote as a bloc. The "hispanic bloc" does not
exist.

How "hispanics" vote depends entirely on a combination of where they live now (what community) and where they are originally from. As evidenced in the last election in Mexico, they have their own red states and blue states there. As evidenced by the Cuban American vote in Florida, they tend to vote Republican (but that is changing drastically). Cuban Americans in NY vote Dem.

"Hispanics" from California will never vote for McCain.

So far as the "red" states -- ha! The Repubs have only had better turnout in two states so far. Their time is over and they know it.
