St. Ralph is still saying no difference between GOP and Democrats
Edited on Sun Mar-07-04 05:59 PM by zulchzulu
If you read what his campaign manager is saying, they are feeding the same lies about the difference between the parties:

(snip)

"AP POLL: NADER AT 6 %
Washington, DC: Just ten days after announcing his presidential candidacy, an Associated Press poll released today has Ralph Nader at 6 percent.

"This country does not belong to the two corporate-controlled major parties," said Theresa Amato, Nader’s Campaign Manager. "Voters are yearning for more voices and more choices. Ralph Nader’s candidacy is providing an alternative to politics as usual."

Karl Rove couldn't be happier. Politics as usual? You bet. I wonder how much money the GOP is contributing to the Nader campaign or through his pet "Citizen Works", where Amato has been president. Granted, nothing's perfect with the Democratic party. While St. Ralph says that he's not in the race to damage the Democratic chances, his staff is sending another message which is exactly similar to his 2000 message about no difference between Gore and Bush.

You'd think by Nader's dogma that he gets money from his campaign from little elves. In 2000, here's a breakdown of his contributors (by sector):

5. Yes, you have said this before and before and before.
But for whatever personal reason someone chooses to vote for Ralph, the end result is a vote for Bush. I've said that before, too.

10. Yup
Its not just Nadir's ego. It the self serving egos of folks who want to morally pure by spouting rhetoric and not have to take responsibility for the good and bad that comes from real world politics. Voting for nadir is good for the ego since he'll never win and he can't therefore screw up so he remains perfect and they can always say "i voted for the perfect candidate. You're guy did Blah blah." Real helpful real constructive NOT

14. Sure, blame Nader for the fact that Republicans are running the DNC/DLC
...rather than do anything to oppose those fascist traitors.

I'm not voting for Nader, but I won't pretend he's wrong.

15. Outrageous! Democrats are MUCH more spineless. They also don't
know what they stand for; they have less money, and they lose all the time. They whimper better, & go to their knees better!

How can Ralph fail to take all that into account? If those aren't significant difference between the parties, I don't know what would be!

In equation form -

Republicans = direct servants of ruling class, overt & blatant
Democrats = indirect servants of ruling class. Function by falsely pretending to "represent average working Americans."
2-party duopoly = political instrument of ruling class, which is skillfully used to maintain illusion of "democracy." Functions as safety valve for social tensions.

I'm shocked, shocked that Ralph could POSSIBLY say that the two parties are the same, when their roles in the system are obviously so different!

16. referring specifically to the
quote you cite:
"This country does not belong to the two corporate-controlled major parties"

I doubt if I know a single person who wouldn't agree with that in principal.
Everybody knows how much influence and control corporations have over politics. It's a simple fact.

17. Funny that Ralph. Hasn't he heard of "Federalist Society?"
They're the Reich wing with a law degree. Members of the FS include "justices" Scalia, Kenne(?)y, O'Connor, and Thomas. Dunno about Rehnquist because they may not allow open NAZIs.
