Obama flip-flopped twice (New York Times investigation)
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 08:06 PM by comfycouch
Barack Obama said in November that he would delay president Bush’s moon-to-Mars program by five years in order to pay for education initiatives.
The NASA special interests got angry and Barack flip-flopped, abandoning his promise, saying he would stick to NASA's existing schedule.
The prestigious blog "Science" said, "“Observers say the awkward shuffle reflects Obama’s relative inexperience in national politics.”
By the way, Science has an article in regards to this change of heart, but if you try to a
access it you will be asked to become a member, so I give you the link to the Columbia Journalism Review instead. CJR congratulates the NY Times on the Obama investigation.

Flip flop #2 is about Exelon, and it has been discussed here. Go to link above for more info.

1. Thanks.
Space exploration is important. So is education. People need to know where Barack wobbles on the issues.

How come this stuff heard of in the republican media.. (cnn, foxnews, msnbc) Could it be that they want him to get all the positive press.. and why do they want him to win the nomination?

4. The answers
They want him to win the nomination because they hate Hillary. They dont' like Obama, however. They are PRETENDING to like him.

I believe the republican media feels hillary is the best candidate to beat John McCain... So they bash her.. That's the reason why the media is helping obama..

14. My opinion, too. This anti-Hillary media bandwagon beggars belief...
...and it feels suspiciously just like the heavily pro-Bush slant in '00 and '04, and the flag-waving in the run-up to W's Iraq War all over again.

11. The MSM believes that the enemy (BO) of my enemy (HRC) is my friend.
They also want the easier pig to slaughter. Hillary knows how to fight and is ready to.

Obama has never had to fight and, from the amount of whining about race, etc., there was before S Carolina, it doesn't seem to me as if he can take a punch and give a counterpunch yet.

19. hillary is amazing because
she is REAL fighter!! After everything she has been through in her life, and with all of her doubters she has always come through with flying colors of hope, optimism and determination. She makes me feel proud! We should all be proud of our choice to support Hillary for President!! YIPPIE GO HILLARY!

5. These are only the most recent in a long list of flip flops from St. Obama
The msm has left him off the hook on this. Obamites attack others for flip flopping but ignore the existence of St. Obama's record.

8. And check out this stupid
rational..
"Bush won more states than Al Gore. Go Bush!
Isn't it silly how some here cheer their candidate just because he won a higher number of states than his opponent?
As if states had the same number of people.
As if Al Gore didn't win in 2000 even if Bush won 9 or 10 more states, if we count Florida for Gore."

In life, everything is relative. Now it's time to believe in the importance of the number of states won. In 2000, it wasn't."

12. Hello, zidzi, did Obama flip flop or not?
Or if you believe that flip flop is too harsh a word, you are welcome to find an alternative word with the same meaning.

Did he do "that"?

7. Wow, and this was even before Kerry endorsed him
If he keeps hanging around Kerry, he'll end up flip-flopping twice on the same issue and end up right where he started the first time. "Before I was for it I was against it after I was for it"
