6. Howard Kurtz, Roger Simon and Rick Lowry admitted the press hatred for Hillary
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 09:15 PM by comfycouch
And they are not paid by Clinton.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/02/03/AR2008020302995_2.html

and E.J. Dionne, progressive journalist for the Washington Post, wrote that,

"Let's grant the Clintons their claims: The press is tougher on Hillary Clinton than it is on Barack Obama; the old, irrational Clinton hatred is alive and well in certain parts of the media; Hillary Clinton gets hit harder when she criticizes Obama than Obama does when he goes after her."

And ironically, Dionne admitted this during an article UNFAVORABLE to Bill Clinton.

7. But did MSNBC say California determines the winner? Did they take it back?
Dunno about the consultant thinghie - just not worth arguing the point. Are the facts accurate?

11. It would of determined the winner but Hillary lost too many other states
that she was expected to win earlier. Obama was only suppose to win 2 states, 2 weeks ago.

8. Craig Crawford also was mad at black people cause of Imus
I think he's a bigot. He was outraged that black people at NBC were offended by Imus comments. He blamed black people for Imus getting fired! After that tirade, I can't stand to pay attention to anything that comes out of his mouth. He's been a Hillary shill since she announced. He's anything but unbiased.

9. The reasoning is the voting threw everone for a loop, so the CA narrative didn't hold
with Obama winning in enough other states to offset California. In most scenarios whoever does win California does win, but in this case it was a virtual tie.

27. Lets do the math
I don't have a link - but what I have are the numbers from this site

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/scorecard/#D

I popped these into a spreadsheet today including the Edwards numbers but not the uncommitted or any other candidate - Clinton - Obama and Edwards

Here is why it doesn't matter that Obama won 13 and Hillary ONLY won 9

Total Dem votes in states Hillary "won" 9,802,705
Total Dem votes in states Obama "won" 5,462,163

4.3 Million more voters in the states Hillary won than Obama - most of which is CA - guess how many of Obama's states it takes to make 4.3 Million voters

Well the lowest number of voters was his HUGE win in Alaska with a grand TOTAL of 415 voters

It would take 12 of the 13 states and ALMOST HALF of IL to make up 4.3 million voter difference between Obama's 13 states and Hillary's 9

so your "state" numbers don't mean too much to me.

Closest I can figure is that Hillary got about 8.9 million votes yesterday and Obama got 8.5 for about a 500K difference - Clinton appears to be about 82 Delegates ahead of Obama right now - besting him by about 42 yesterday.

Also 7 of Obama's 13 states will most likely be Red states come November
3 probably up for grabs
3 solidly blue

Clinton's 9 states

4 most likely Red in November
4 most likely Blue in November
and NM who the hell knows

I say all this to point out that no matter what way folks spin this - yesterday WAS A TIE - to dismiss her 10 pt win in CA by saying he got 13 states and she got 9 is bad math....

We need to stop the spin and admit they both had a pretty good day yesterday.....

28. your numbers are dead wrong. they are only separated by about 50,000 votes nationally
Alaska didn't just have 415 voters, those are Caucus Delegates.

I think you are adding all the Caucus numbers wrong.

30. Read what I said
I said there was about a 50K difference for the day nationally

and I'll go back and look at Alaska and correct if need be ... my point won't change much...

bottom line it was a tie face it...

32. Oh no you're right
I checked your right the caucus stuff is different than the primary stuff - I'll go back and fix it but probably not tonight though

and I said 500K not 50K but if the difference was only 50K it even proves my point more that yesterday was a TIE....

This has nothing to do with bias of the media, it has to do with the stupidity of the media, and trying to stir up the pot

I would like to remind you that most of the media were beating the drum the loudest for us to invade Iraq

19. Oh for the love of God it is not reverse racism
it is FUCKING SEXISM - sexism is so much worse in this country than racism - it is so fucking ingrained that people don't even realize - I can not believe this guy entertained the thought that it was reverse racism - and couldn't imagine that it might and most likely is SEXISM.

This campaign has shook me to my soul ever since NH primary - I'm FULL TIME ON BOARD WITH HILLARY NOW for two reasons - one NO REAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HER AND OBAMA - AND TWO BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN...

Yeah, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with his assessment of media bias.

In fact, the MSM sets up Obama so that his monster gains on Hillary seems like no big whoop.

Now, that's media bias!
