O.K., I'll be honest. I'm in a state of despair at Obama's loss here in California.

;(

NOT!!!!!!!!!!:P

For one thing Obama won my county!

For another thing, he got 42% of the vote is so-called "Clinton Country."

And for another thing, Hillary campaigned her in recent weeks, Obama didn't, and still she could barely crack the 50% mark statewide!

AND FURTHERMORE....

Obama has won more delegates than the Clintons!!!!

Obama has won more states than the Clintons!!!!

Obama has brought in more new voters to the Democratic Party than the Clintons!!!!

Obama has brought more indpendent voters into our fold this time around than the Clintons!!!!

Obama has converted more Republicans to our side than the Clintons!!!!

Obama has tied the the Clintons in the popular vote!!!!!

The more voters get to know Obama, the more they like him...time is on our side!!!!

We've got a great round of February caucuses and primaries coming up, and Obama will shine!!!!

We've got the momentum, in votes, funds, and hope!!!!!

YES WE CAN!!!!!!!

When a candidate can't get 60% in her own state something is very wrong with that candidate.

11. See how easy it is to get out of the blues. Hillary ran the traditional Dem 50%+1 campaign.
That's the NE, CA, FL and she drew more votes.

And Barack is close to matching the $5M loan with $5M contributions from small donors.

13. Here's some consolation for you
My Republican brother (Huckabee guy) called me today and said Obama would have won California had it not been for the early voting. He said the 10% difference had to have come before the tide started to turn for Obama.

To my knowledge, my brother has never made a complimentary remark about a Democrat in the 55 years I have known him, and he initiated the call.

Sam

Too many things wrong with it, and too many things can change before election day. There's no taking those votes back if you change your mind.

31. I Don't understand why people keep saying that the Kennedy
endorsement had no impact. Prior to the vote, some talking heads said Clinton had as much as a 6 to 1 ratio of favored Latino voting over Obama. She pulled off only a 2 to 1 ratio in California. He was like 20 or 30 points behind her at one point; and he ended up with only 10 points less. I call that kind of turnaround in the space of a week a miracle.

He was polling 22% in MA about a week before the election. Right before the vote, his camp said they hoped to reach 40% to claim a fair share of the delegates. And that they did.

I think what Obama accomplished in the space of about a week with the assistance of the Kennedys, and of course, the base, is a political miracle. Why are people here selling that short, even if they don't support him. He's received much kinder remarks from my Republican brother, the Bush* proponent, than many DU'ers. What a shame.

20. California has an election system that remains extremely vulnerable to rigging.
See my analysis of it, "California Election Integrity Assessment 2008." I lay out out the system, in its bare bones, where many of the vulnerabilities are, which counties, which registrars, the bloody see-saw history of reform and anti-reform over the last decade, the current struggle between reformer SoS Debra Bowen, and corrupt county officials and the rightwing corporate election vendors they serve.

Bottom line: A couple of insider corporate hackers, a couple of minutes, a few lines of code, leaving no trace--and millions of votes can be changed.

And when did greedy fascist bastards ever hold such power over a country's government and political establishment, and not use it? Never.

Did they want to stop Obama in California? It's possible. And, if they did, it was a piece of cake.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x4380748

But whatever they dark lords intend, the thing we have to face--and do something about--is that they have the EASY capability to game our political system with fraudulent results.

It's too bad you couldn't get this excited over Impeaching. It is amazing how voters are so easily bought with such slogans as 'yes we can.'

I am embarrassed by my fellow citizens. America is dying....and all the citizens can say is, 'yes we can.'

It's just pathetic how easily the average american citizen can be manipulated. Obama is even agog at how easy it is.

To be expected based upon the polling of Latinos. OC has a very large Hispanic population. I was concerned with my touch screen system. My ballot # was 00000! Should have questioned it before committing the vote. I thought I would get an output ticket but didn't.
