Oh Boy...
<snip>

In a Super Tuesday interview on “Inside City Hall,” Democratic Chairman Howard Dean said he doesn’t want the Clinton-Obama race continuing into the party’s convention in Denver, saying the candidates should “make some kind of an arrangement” if neither has enough delegates to win the nomination.

Speaking to political anchor Dominic Carter before Tuesday’s results were known, Dean predicted the Democrats would “have a nominee sometime in the middle of March or April.”

Here is a transcript of Dean’s remarks: “The idea that we can afford to have a big fight at the convention and then win the race in the next eight weeks, I think, is not a good scenario. So, after the primaries are over, the last primary is June 8th in Puerto Rico - Puerto Rico I think, there may be another state with there - and after that if we don’t have a nominee, I think we will have a nominee sometime in the middle of March or April. But if we don’t, then we’re going to have to get the candidates together and make some kind of an arrangement. Because I don’t think we can afford to have a brokered convention, that would not be good news for either party.”

1. We have a convention date that was picked for campaign finance rules
And not one that was picked to officially give us a nominee sooner, because we weren't expecting a brokered convention.

Dean is unfortunately right. A brokered convention would be a fucking disaster.

4. I have the perfect solution.
Steel cage death match. Two candidates go in, one comes out. Each can choose their preferred weapon. No rules, no restraint, just pure DEMOCRATIC CARNAGE. OOOooooh yeah.

7. Pay-Per-Vue, of course...to help finance the campaign of the survivor.
Hopefully the nominee isn't horribly maimed in any way, but then Edwards could come in for the finisher.

6. certainly lends credibility to the conspiracy theories about why JRE
packed it in. Sounds like Dean "made some kind of arrangement" in hopes of having Super Tuesday get it done. Maybe he shouldn't have tinkered. If JRE had stayed in and taken more from one than the other, there'd be a frontrunner.
