Kentucky: McCain 61%, Obama 32%

I hope Obama does attract Republicans in the GE if he goes on to win the nomination.

But in Kentucky he needs to work very, very hard.

He's down in Indiana by 10%, but Bush won it by 20% in '04 so that's good news.

In Kentucky, Hillary loses by 10% to McCain.

In Indiana, Hillary loses to McCain by 9%.

In the state of Washington, Obama trounces McCain by 17%, while McCain ties Hillary here.

21. as much as some hillary supporters wish
obama is not going down in the rezko case. hillary supporters should worry about what the right wing is going to attack her with.

28. I don't think he is going to "go down" either - but there is plenty of fodder for the
RW to run with....especially given the details of the case!

7. I honestly don't think he'll do that well.
Once the Republicans get ahold of him and do their thang with "muslim" "race" "rezko" and whatever else they dredge up, I don't think he'll be able to crack 40% nationally... and in KY and the South far, far worse.
I just see the set up.

9. Right now, general election polls don't mean a ton.
Not when most people haven't gotten a chance to really compare two candidates, rather than running on hypotheticals.

Besides which, KY and IN aren't the most important states. We want to be looking at MO, NV, AZ, VA, CO, and the Carolinas. Those are all flippable, much more so than KY or IN.

18. The difference: Republicans swiftboat people
Hillary's performance is nothing compared to what you will see from the RNC, any Swift-boat like group that may pop up and the mainstream media, which I guarantee will return to its original task: To bring Republicans into power every 4 years.

These factors make it harder for a liberal Democrat such as Obama to gain ground ahead of a GE.

It's over for them! The country has finally had enough of the GOP!

I just hope we can win a fillibuster-proof majority to go along with the White House.

Thanks for your concern though!:smoke:

27. Obama goes up in the polls in every state he campaigns in.
His numbers will go up if he spends more time in KY. Clinton on the other hand has been stagnant for a year. She has nowhere to go but down.
