Most widely read opinion columnist in USA (conservative George Will) says Obama best Dem. choice
Pullitzer prize-winning George Will, a conservative, said today,

The surest way to unify the Republican Party, however, is for Democrats to nominate Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama, the foundation of whose candidacy is his early opposition to the war in Iraq, would be a more interesting contrast to the candidate who is trying to become the oldest person ever elected to a first presidential term and who almost promises a war with Iran ("There is only one thing worse than military action, and that is a nuclear-armed Iran").

Will appears in 368 newspapers with a combined circulation of 26 million, according to Media Matters for America.

6. Wow! Republicans sure love Obama
The only problem with this love, is that they sell the kool-aid, they don't drink it.

And he's got a good point. He's also usually right about baseball.

15. Columnists are not allowed to endorse candidates, I believe, but it's his way to endorse him
There are ways to "endorse" a candidate without using the word "endorsement". or "I endorse" so and so.

If you read this piece, you are left with no doubt as to who Will likes in the Democratic side. And who he hates.

17. He's doing a couple of things
A) Warning his party (the remaining few that listen to him after he gave up on Iraq) that Obama is a formidable challenge

B) Get some more cred as a "balanced" (*cough*) columnist

C) Piss off the pro-Clinton editorial board of the Washington Post

19. Yes they are. They aren't reporters. That WAPO bozo Cohen came out for
Obama simply because he "wasn't Bill Clinton." Heckuva reason, that.

The conservatives know that they can beat Hillary, that's why they want her to win the nomination.
