Remember Right After The 2004 Election
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 08:23 AM by Magic Rat
when there was this big unmasking of all the DUers who were secret agents for the other side, and there were tombstonings left and right of people who had been here for years only to reveal themselves as republicans and freepers?

I have a feelings we're in for part two of that in nine months or so, just based on what I'm seeing on this board.

1. Which is just totally absurd
I really wonder what someone would think is gained by manipulating the discussion here on DU.

2. The other side is all about manipulation and control...
...as sick as that is.

NGU.

3. No I Don't
Sounds like a made-for-TV HBO special feature.

There aren't many seriously deranged people on this site, and they don't stay very long--their heads explode or they get IGNORED and expire due to neglect.

4. How was it revealed that they were RW spies and instigators?
Did they out themselves? Or was there an investigation of some sort?

6. They gleefully outed themselves, by and large.

5. Me, too. It added to the angst of that second stolen election. I still remember how the
Dan Rather story brought out a lot of "concerned" posters, as well.

What's strange, is I don't recall that FR had the same sort of unmasking of disruptors. Why they delight so much in being subversive and completely false is a mystery to me.

7. I do remember that. Some, I suspected - but there were a few surprises.
The ones that were surprising were pretty subtle, and their technique was to act as a corrosive - side with a person against others, participate in faux outrages, drive in "purity" wedges, etc.
Others were more of the freeper types, extreme supporters of a candidate that mad people hate that candidate because they were such asses.
Sometimes they will slip, and a bit of underbelly shows, "democrat party" and the like, and that is a little funny and a little pathetic.

I agree that there are many here, but is for mods to decide.

8. I agree!
I have a pretty good idea who. They've invested a lot of time into their petty little hate "project".

The good news is, nobody on the right anticipated they would be flat our REJECTED by the American people, no matter the punditry, and dispite right wing hate radio.

HA!!!!

9. Thats one of the reasons I don't get too flustered with the Outragious Stupid going on here.
Once the disruptors have had their fun they'll be gone - one way or another.
