7. because if it's not on your website
and you aren't hyping it, it didn't happen. how will the wired masses get the news?

imagine, dedicating a campaign site to issues and stuff. who does that?

24. priority setting?
so you are saying that since the fundraising numbers have priority on Obama's site that this is his priority? I don't get it.

by the way, you never post your numbers in large type when you are behind, no matter how far behind you are. If you raise ten million and the other guy raised 10.1, you don't publicize it.

27. speaking to HRC situation, not Obama's. They also have different management styles.
having worked campaigns for thirty years, I can tell you that there necessarily are periods of adjustment. HRC is perfectly capable of taking care of herself and her campaign. There is no impending disaster here that I would predict in a million years. Why are you so upset. Give the lady a break.

30. um,. I have been, and remain a Hillary supporter
i don't care if they post their numbers on their website or not, as long as they file the required FEC reports. I don't think the lack of a number there means anything but that they aren't keeping up with the Obama numbers (which given the economics of both campaign's supporters, isn't all that suprising right now)

if she raised 6 million, a record in any other year, she wouldn't brag, because everyone would say "but Obama raised 7!"

both sides have plenty of money right now.

20. there's no secret to hide
the fact that she's dipping into her own money and that her advisers are working for free this month shows you how they're doing.

The fact that a CLINTON, in the United States of America, cannot pay her campaign, shows the level of disarray in their campaign.

We're talking about CLintons here...royalty...not some 4th rate campaign...the frontrunners...

There's no glossing around about it...she's in trouble...BIG TROUBLE

Meanwhile, in the Obama campaign, money is raining down on them..

let me check my calendar. the loan was in January, her staffers volunteered in January.

is it still January where you are?

but hey, why let pesky little facts get in the way of a good storyline?

18. in our e-mail inbox this morning:
from USA Today: http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2008/02/for-clinton-mon.html

. . . one of the odder twists in this on-going story was in our e-mail inbox this morning: A message from the Clinton campaign to read this post at the blog of liberal radio host Taylor Marsh.

There, Marsh says the Clinton campaign raised $3 million yesterday, is going to aim for $6 million in 72 hours and that "Hillary's loan (is) to be paid back by supporters in 48 hours after Super Tuesday."

So, without announcing all that on its own, the Clinton campaign is pointing to Marsh's post and giving her news it's stamp of approval.

Wow! Marsh is their official spokeperson?

They sent her alone an e-mail, then referenced her post as the source?

32. well, they are also telling TPM
http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/02/hillary_campaign_raised_4_mill.php

The Obama campaign isn't the only one that had a fundraising coup in the aftermath of Tuesday's results -- the Hillary campaign has raised roughly $4 million since the polls closed, the Clinton campaign tells us.

The Hillary camp is also claiming 35,000 new donors in the past 48 hours.

34. and there's no spin at all coming from the other side, right?
do you believe Hillary's numbers, as told to TPM here? or not? that's the question.

and yes, MoveOn and Kerry have massive lists (lord knows I am getting mail encouraging me to donate, and I am pretty obviously a Hillary guy.) it's all part of the campaign's effort to point out that Obama is no longer simply an insurgent.

22. and the only source for the Obama one
is, well, Obama's people.

or have you seen something else?

by the way, did you think this much about the campaign funding race when Obama was behind? why is it you are so enamoured with the candidate of the well off, and think that is justified? (yes, getting 7 million in two days means you have a lot of people willing and able to donate $200 or so online at the drop of a hat. Think those people are worried about paying the mortgage? really?)
