and even have a discussion about whether some supporters are overly leading with their emotions over their intellect during this presidential race, without using obvious flame bait language in your OP while doing so.

I urge Clinton supporters to reign this type of talk. Enough references to cults and crazed worshipers. I accept that some Clinton supporters feel that many Obama supporters are swept up in a wave of feel good emotion and not looking at issues objectively, or however else you may want to frame that point. But there is no need to use blatantly offensive language to have that discussion, it is charged enough on its own without throwing gasoline onto it and lighting matches.
