Senate Repugs say no to seniors, disabled vets, jobless and small business
"Given a chance to act as recession looms, more than 40 Republicans today said no to helping 20 million seniors and no to 250,000 disabled veterans. They said no to those who have lost their jobs and no to small business," Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) said after the vote.

1. Wonder what AARP's response will be
They've been running a campaign to make sure seniors on fixed incomes got their share of rebates.

7. I got three letters from them last week
I don't know how they know of me as I have never contacted them. It seemed the second I turned the big 50 the letters began to arrive (and this was a couple of years ago!).

I have absolutely no use for the AARP either. If they had anything going for them at all, they'd find away to get these stimulus checks to those that need them the most - those on Social Security and/or Social Security Disability! I wonder how many of "them" live on $800 a month?

I am so very glad I never gave them a cent!
