What I want to know is...who let Obama speak at the 2004 Convention? |

Was it Kerry's people or was it Terry McAuliffe's people and if the latter, is he kicking himself now? After all, Obama was a mildly obscure state senator who made a rep with a fine speech (I was there). Would he be giving Hillary so much trouble (or even in the race) if he hadn't spoken at the convention?

I've never seen anything authoritative.
However, at the Boston rally, Obama specifically mentioned that he owed Kerry a lot for that opportunity.
