Obama puts Colorado in play, HRC not so much so. CO on brink of becoming blue
This is in response to another thread where poster said that Clinton puts Arizona in play, and Obama doesn't. However, that poster forgot that AZ is McCain's homestate and he will probably have the advantage there. On the other hand, Colorado is even more so on the brink of becoming blue.

Take the 2004 election results:
Colorado
Bush: 1100255 51.69
Kerry 1001732 47.02

Arizona
Bush: 1104294 54.8
Kerry: 893,524 44.4

Obama won in Colorado with over 60% of the vote. HRC took Arizona by a 50-42 margin.

(personally I think both Obama and HRC can win Colorado, but I think Obama with his pull among independents will have an easier time of it).

2. I live in Arizona, and that is why I posted my OP. The Hispanic community is behind her.
But, carry on.

3. In the general election I believe the Latino population will come to Obama
I still don't see how the dems carry McCain's homestate, but I don't discount it. I do think Obama will have an easier time of winning Colorado.

7. No way will the Hispanics come out in record numbers for Obama like they are for Clinton.
Bill and Hillary are adored in the HIspanic community. Obama is an unknown to them.

Clintons = Hero's to Hispanics. Obama won't motivate them at all.

4. Colorado has trended blue for a while...
I suspect Obama would put many of those red western states in play given that McCain isn't very popular in the west due to his illegal immigration stance.

Their antipathy for Hillary would certainly offset that.

6. Obama won more votes in CO than all the Pukes combined.
In AZ, Clinton didn't even win more votes than McCain.

That poster offered no facts to back up his/her claims other than being a resident of AZ.
