The reason why screeds like Coulter and Limbaugh are begging for a Clinton win
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 03:20 PM by LynneSin
I still remember 1993. Pizza Hut had a TV ad for their stuffed pizzas featuring Rush Limbaugh as their spokes person. I'll admit, 1992 was the first time I dove-in headfirst into a presidential campaign with spending dozens of hours each week helping out at the Bucks County PA Democratic HQ in Doylestown PA.

It was that commercial that I first learned about who Rush Limbaugh was. And of course it was also right around that time that Rush referred to the Clinton's 13-year old daughter as a 'dog'. My world was invaded by Rush Limbaugh and btw, I have never had Pizza Hut pizza since then.

Bashing Clintons have been a national past-time since 1992 making this year the 18th year that we've had screeds like Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Ingram and a host of wannabes finding everyway feasible to bring down the Clintons. Go to any local bookstore and you'll find dozens of books telling us why Clintons were the rebirth of Satan here on earth by right-wing pundits trying their best to be the next Limbaugh or Coulter. For almost 2 decades the media, radio, newspaper and TV, have been bashing Clintons left and right hoping that something will bring these two down. Sure, we all knew about Hillary's aspirations of being more than a first lady but that idea just added fuel to these right-wing screeds world. More Clinton gave them more bashing power and just imagine if Hillary was president - woohoo!

After Hillary won the NY Senate seat in 2000, I knew that she would never be ready to run for president in 2004. She promised NYers that she would serve her team and that was a promise kept. But 2008 Hillary was off and running for president giving the right-wing whackos a thrilling orgasm of new heights of all the Clinton talking points they would possibly have for the next 10-20 years. And all those talking points meant more ratings, more books sold and more opinions printed. Everyone loves a Clinton basher - it was like gold in the bank.

And it almost could be - except 2 things: A dogfight of a primary race again Barack Obama AND the feasibility of a republican candidate that might win in the fall (McCain). Either of these could derail another Clinton in the White House and lets face it - if Hillary Clinton doesn't win, this could probably end 18 years of the Clinton bashing bandwagon. Hillary will probably continue on as a Senator or retire from the public sector all-together and the Clinton family isn't quite like the Bushes or Kennedys where there are handful of future candidates waiting their turn to run for office.

So don't be surprised about the Limbaugh & Coulter 'endorsements'. These two and people like them are scared that the money train is about to end.

BTW - this post is in no way endorsing any candidates. I'm still an undecided (I voted Biden on Tuesday)

Is absolutely disgusting. I never go there but ocassionally run into the stuff at the office. Did you notice how much grease they use? Now compare that to Dominoes. Anyways I buy at local chain here called Garlic Jim's. Never buy Pizza Hut!!!!

4. Of course - they don't give a rat's ass about policy
but 4 (or preferably 8) years of a Clinton in the WH would be a guaranteed ATM for Limbaugh Hannity Coulter and their ilk. They all got filthy rich during the nineties by Clinton bashing, count on them to drag out all the old scandals and find (or invent) some new ones.

Attacks on Obama could be considered racist (and probably would be) and would cost them listeners. Not so for Clinton.

Goddamn right they want Hillary to win.

5. Yea...
Well those were the goood ole days, NOT!! Anways thankfully the world has changed. Not as many people are into AM radio thanks to satellite radio and MP3s. And thanks to the internets we have blogs so we have alternative media. The days of people like El Drugbo ruling the airways are over.

7. i can't wait to see them gone...but i ain't holding my breath...
the RW hate-speakers have found a market they never knew existed...attacking their own!! They can now, and for at least 4 more years, if not longer, attack whoever gets in the WH. Rush and friends have never had it so easy...and they will spew their crap all the way to the bank. Their Kool-aid is Jim Jones light...it will numb you, but it won't kill you.

9. I have been thinking along the same lines, and have no doubt they will
vote for Clinton, and really do, privately, want her to win the Presidency.

For them, a Clinton win is money in the bank.
