What prompted me to write this? The 50,000th time I've had to endure reading "hillbot."

Why the fuck can't we just have honest, adult disagreements with each other about who will best lead the party?

Hillary supporters and Hillary supporters, and god bless em, in a few months I'll be standing hand in hand (figuratively or literally) behind whoever is the nominee. As for the ones who refuse, well - that's how you clean the party of dead weight.

And my Obama friends, don't even bother posted the six year old, "well they do it do!" bullshit. I know that. And all the Obamites garbage should stop too. But I'm just as pissed off about it no matter which side is doing it!

Could we all please, in the name of all that is pure or holy, and for the love of anything decent left in this tired old world, please..... PLEASE

GROW THE FUCK UP

1. Thank you!
I am not a Hillhound, either.

Typing Obama supporter and Clinton supporter may take a few more seconds,
but it's much nicer.

2. Yeah and I'm not sure why I often say hilliary supporter (first name) and Obama supporter (last name
But if I have some subconscious bias there.... gender, personal, political, whatever... I don't want to.

I will try to stay consistent.

4. It's because people are shy about remebering how to spell Barack. Seriously.
Nothing sinister.

When I hear "Clinton," I think of Bill. And "Obama" just rolls off the tongue (er, fingertips...) better than "Barack."

It seems that most refer to Romney as "Mitt". Gender? Personal? Political? Special undergarments?

10. Probably because she began her campaign on a first-name basis.
Remember?

3. You're better off hiding those GDP threads!! People are NOT going to do what you ask.
You'd probably be better off getting everyone to list all of the stupid names. Maybe seeing them listed, like delightful little turds, all in one place might slow people down a bit...but I wouldn't count on THAT either.

5. Let me know how that works out for you.
If it bothers you that much, I'd suggest staying out of GD: Primaries. Why be a glutton for punishment -- you know "people" aren't going to change. Especially those who signed on merely to stir the pot ... they're pretty easy to spot. Don't give them the satisfaction...

Maybe the tenor will improve after the nomination, but I doubt it -- there will be ad nauseam "I told you so" threads.

7. I remember in 2004
When Deaniac and Clarkie and all the other nicknames and pejoratives were banned and calling someone anything other than _____supporter earned a granite cookie. I wouldn't mind seeing that come back, especially since it's pretty clear the Primary War isn't going to end for at least another month.

12. Know why we can't have honest, adult disagreements?
Too many here are not honest. Or adult.

But that's the way it's always been.

The difference was, the policies here were designed to control the worst excesses.

When you see the site owners posting in this forum, you know they are aware of the situation.

That means it must be okay with them.

So take that for what it's worth.

Many of those "your candidate sucks" threads are started by those with low posts and no donations. Not all, but many. Or those with a donation and 1,000 posts in two weeks. It's an open discussion board and anyone with a keyboard and half a brain can have their say. For all we know, it could be a Tom DeLay goon sitting in his tighty whities in his Mommy's basement. Many of the pot-stirrers will be weeded out -- survival of the fittest. We just need to get through the next couple 'o months...
