Does anyone have one goddamn shred of proof that Clinton's money trouble was staged? |
|
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 05:24 PM by bigtree
The entire notion that they'd make their campaign look so weak, days after WINNING the bulk of the Super Tuesday delegates, just to juke someone out or spark donations, is ludicrous.
The most reasonable explanation is right in front of us. The surge in donations has erased any need to furlough staffers or cancel advertising. The campaign NEVER said they were broke. They admitted Hillary loaned the campaign money to help them keep their advantage before the ST contests. And, it makes sense that they'd have an increase in support after her excellent showing Tuesday.
I think what's hilarious is, her detractors thought they could humiliate and demoralize her supporters by squeezing the info from the campaign and getting her to admit to the loan. The effect was the opposite. Supporters flocked to her aid. Now, the same detractors want us to believe that it was Hillary who orchestrated all of this. It's her critics and opponent's own manipulative politicking which awakened her supporters to her side.
I hope we can expect more of this type of brilliance from these amateur opposition hacks. It can only rally more voters to her historic campaign.

The only reason it got out that they had taken the loan was because they were asked a direct question from a reporter. The staff OFFERED to go without pay as well. Clinton did not let them go without pay and took out a loan. The donors heard about it after the campaign answered the reporter. After having donated to Clinton, the campaign is doing better and can now afford to do some advertising in other states.

4. I don't think it was orchestrated. Obviously, she wouldn't tap into |
|
her own money, unless she needed to. I think it did ignite a spur to action. And, that in a way made it a good thing for her. I'm sure this was Penn's way of putting a healthy spin on it, like a rally cry. And it seems to have worked. She has gotten big money.

35. We'd know the original source of the 5 million maybe. I think non disclosure is immoral. |
|
The fact that she said she would disclose if she won the nomination tells me there is stuff in there that she believes would hurt her chances to get the nomination.
But once she's annointed, then it will be too late, because what are Dems supposed to do, vote for McCain?
It's so typically Clinton, it makes me sick.

14. This is typical Obamite posting. They make up a LIE or distort the facts or |
|
read their own personal thoughts and post them as if it was true regarding Hillary. They all think they are psychic and know what Hillary and the party thinks. They need to take their tinfoil hats off and listen to what is really happening.

Clinton acknowledged Wednesday that she loaned her campaign $5 million late last month as Obama was outraising and outspending her heading into the Feb. 5 Super Tuesday contests. Some senior staffers on her campaign offered to voluntarily forgo paychecks as the campaign heads into the next round of contests, but Clinton aides said Thursday the offers were declined and all salaries would be paid.
