Does anyone think we will win without a paper trail? |
|
Voters were turned away in Texas, voters in Loretta Sanchez's district were disenfranchised when voting computers failed and no provisional ballots were taken (changing the outcome of one of the local races), Ohio is going paperless and we still think we can beat Dubya in November. The only way we win is if everyone backs Holt's bill in the House and Graham's bill in the Senate, ASAP. The DNC needs to be on top of situation like the one posted here about Texas. Kerry will have to fight this one out probably because the disenfranchisements, rigging, etc will be at an all-time high in November.

I think the corporate media will convince the American public the race is neck and neck and that will enable the theft. I voted on a Diebold machine here in Texas on Saturday and no WAY do I think the results cannot be tampered with.

When I arrived at the polling site last Tuesday, I was steered to a Diebold machine, which I refused to touch. I was then given a paper ballot but it's hard to maintain faith that the count will be truthful, even here in the birthplace of free speech demonstrations, Berkeley, CA. I left the polling booth wondering if my vote would really be counted and feeling very sad for my country that I had reason to feel this way.
