Praise Jesus! Donna Brazile is threatening to quit the democratic party
http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/story?id=4261986&page=1

That's led to an uproar by some about the role of the 796 Democratic "super delegates" -- state party leaders, national party leaders and former Democratic presidents -- who get to act as free agents at the party's convention able to back any candidate they wish.

If 795 of my colleagues decide this election, I will quit the Democratic Party. I feel very strongly about this," Donna Brazile told CNN this week.

1. Oh, pleeeeeeeeze???!!!
She is the most ineffectual spokesperson for the party ever. I wouldn't miss her in the least.

2. I see her point. It would be like the Democrat Supreme Court taking it away.
Who came up with this Super Delegate crap? Shouldn't the peoples voices be the only ones that matter?

22. WHICH people's voices?
If one has more popular votes, should they all vote for that candidate?

If one has more delegates should they vote for that candidate?

If their state has more delegates pledged to a candidate, should they go with the "voices of the people" of their state?

If most voters in their state voted for a candidate, should they go with the "voices of most of the people" in their state?

41. Wouldn't Super Delegates technically be voting twice?
Edited on Fri Feb-08-08 11:50 PM by SmellsLikeDeanSpirit
I'm sure these elected officials vote in there states primary, so they get to have another vote at the convention?

Anyone else seeing something wrong here?

No Super Delegates period.

46. The same thing could be said of the pledged delegates. They voted, too, in the primaries.

36. she won't be alone
and the Clintons haven't minded destroying the democratic party in the past either, so nothing
will stop them.

The Clinton Campaign believes that the Los Angeles County election/primary went smoothly.
Smoothly for her, since the independent voters' ballots weren't counted thanks to the double bubble.

If Donna Brazile stops being a Democrat, how do you tell? It's like when Fred Thompson dropped out of the primaries. How could you tell?

I can't stand Brazile.

But I will also quit if that goes down. I've been a Democrat for my entire life. Activist for 37 years. That would tear it.

These Clintonistas will be so angry at Gore for endorsing Obama, they'll start to become Global Warming-deniers.

They'll buy big SUVs and stop recycling.

That's how much they'll be mad at Big Al.

she was spouting Axelrod's BS about Bill Clinton's fairytale remark for a few weeks. I honestly think someone finally told her to STFU because she was tearing the party apart.

32. This is an extremely serious issue, whether or not one likes Donna
Brazile. I have been talking about this on this website. This problem has the potential of splintering the party and damaging its ability to win elections for decades to come. If Donna Brazile gets up and walks out, rest assured, she will not be alone.

45. This has become a problem, because...
...we have another candidate created by the MSM. Obama's rise in this election has been driven by his own skills and character, but more especially by the MSM. Without the collusion of the MSM, and their manipulation of elections - we would not have these close and 'divisive' elections - which have become the norm in this country.

That's the problem.

The corporate media is the problem. Ask Al Gore, or read The Assault on Reason.
