Poll question: So what should Superdelegates base their vote on? Popular or Delegate vote? State or national? |
|
Should Superdelegates use their vote to enforce the popular or elected delegate votes? And of their state, or of the nation?
Consider scenarios such as:
If Candidate X has the national lead, but candidate Y has more votes in the Superdelegate's state, should she vte to reflect the national or state vote?
If Candidate X gets more elected delegates nationally, but Candidate Y had more individual votes, should the Superdelegates "correct" the situation for voting for Candidate Y?

2. They are charged with casting their vote |

for the person who they believe will be the best nominee and the best president.
That is what they should do.

is that written anywhere? not a snark or anything I'm genuinely curious if there are any guidelines in place on how super delegates are charge with casting their vote. I do know that they aren't set in stone, an endorsement or 'pledge' from a super delegate at this point means squat, they're free to change them as they see fit so the idea of counting them now seems a bit pointless.
