Donna Brazile: A Suddent Interest
Some people have grown to love Donna Brazile in the past 24 hours. Others have grown to hate her. Most have no clue who she is, whether they love her or hate her. For the record, she managed Al Gore's campaign in 2000 and is now a Democratic strategist. She's had a few things to say. I offer no judgment. I'm just putting this out there.

"What an amazing year! The process - up to this point - has worked in winnowing the field and presenting a clear choice," said veteran Democratic consultant Donna Brazile , who is neutral in the race." St. Petersburg Times (FL) - February 5, 2008

Donna Brazile , Democratic strategist and former presidential campaign manager for Al Gore, took great offense to the former president's remarks. On CNN she complained that, "For him to go after Obama using 'fairy tale,' calling him a 'kid,' as he did last week, it's an insult. And I tell you, as an African American, I find his words and his tone to be very depressing." She tells us this "as an African American." Washington Times, The (DC) - February 4, 2008

"SO MUCH for the self-imposed Hil/Obama truce to avoid any more "politics of personal destruction." For one solid week (a long time in presidential politics), Sens. Clinton and Obama went back to staking out their positions on the economy and helping the middle class. But that's over.

The bickering, attack ads and a new round of insults have re-emerged. As House Majority Whip James Clyburn asserted before the recent Democratic debate, "it's time they chill out."

Let's start with former President Bill Clinton." San Mateo County Times (CA) - January 31, 2008

"One person, one vote? Forget about it. Some votes are worth more than others. You have to know the rules," said Donna Brazile , the campaign manager of Al Gore in the 2000 presidential race and a Washington, D.C., superdelegate. Star-Ledger, The (Newark, NJ) - January 30, 2008

1. I don't think she's a very good strategist...
but I don't hate her.

Every time I've heard her on NPR or seen her on the Sunday shows, she is terrible.
Boring, ineffective and out of touch. I cringed during the Kerry candidacy whenever they had her on.

I'm getting at nothing. I just thought it might be interesting to hear a little more from her since some have taken such an interest in her lately.

6. You want opinions? She's a friggin idiot. And I support Obama
If he has any brains he will distance himself from this moran with all possible haste.

When I saw her on some show boasting of her friendship with KKKarl Rove I knew she was a POS.

In fact I question the judgment of Gore for hiring her to manage his campaign.

She's right up there in the old time Dem gallery of losers with Shrum, McAuliffe, Carville and a few others.

9. That's pretty much my take ...
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 12:03 AM by RoyGBiv
I picked these comments in order from a basic search on Newsbank.

She's weird.

Summary:

There's a clear choice. I'm neutral.

Calling Obama a kid is, as an African American, an insult.

The two main candidates need to stop the politics of personal destruction, so let's criticize Bill Clinton.

And the last one, which deserves to be quoted in full:

""One person, one vote? Forget about it. Some votes are worth more than others. You have to know the rules."

12. Ayup ...

Except some individuals have suddenly found her to be the right voice at the right time now that she's threatening to leave the Democratic party if superdelegates, of which she is one, can be shown to decide the nomination.

as someone who is very dense. today i think of her not only as dense. i think that there might be some reverse prejudice flourishing in this wolf blitzer highly touted strategist.

13. She managed Gore's campaign right into the ground.
I haven't listened to a word she's said since 2001.

She needs to get a real job.
