You say she's a fighter I say she gave up long ago
I do believe that Hillary truly wants Universal Healthcare, she wants to reduce Poverty, she wants the whole Iraq "thing" to go away, and all of her other lofty stated ultimate goals. But it appears to me clear as day that long ago her and Bill were beaten down by the corporate powers that be to believe that they had to play by their rules.

That is the root of a DLC moderate Democrat. They don't think that they can get things accomplished without throwing over half the bones to the moneyed powers. They don't believe in the power of the people to change the system.

This is how you end up with things like Healthcare Mandates, an Economic platform which focuses on the Middle Class to the exclusion of the poor (a broader trickle down theory), a refusal to commit to immediate phased withdrawal (until forced to do so by the rest of the candidates), and of course the "win at all costs" strategy she's been employing in this campaign.

Why was she the last candidate to disclose her campaign contributors, and then at the highest minimum level? (100k and up)

Why won't she disclose her tax filings?

And finally why have so many people surrendered to the belief that you have to play by the RW corporate rules to get anything done.

Obama is criticized for saying that he will reach across the aisle to republicans to solve our problems. But HRC has declared war on the pukes all the while cozying up to the people who pull their strings and make them say things like "trickle down economics". This division in our country is a false one. Republican supporters simply dont know any better unless theyre part of the rich corporate oligarchy. That corporate oligarchy is the real enemy and so I cry BULLSHIT when she throws plastic darts at them. It's all about distracting us from the real enemy. This is a struggle of class: from immigration reform to abortion to gay rights to privatization of social security to the Iraq War, and on and on and on - they all have their roots in profits either to distract us from what's really going on and who is screwing us, or to directly screw us!

So don't tell me that she's a fighter because she talks a strong game about republicans while supporting their Bankruptcy Bills, and their wars. She's just playing the tired old game of bait and switch... the old style politicians for the most part dance and cavort and beat each other up, while the true powers that be rape and pillage this country.

Show me the money and I'll show you the motivation. And she is highly motivated right now to win at all costs just to get a seat at the corporate table in the hopes that she can get a couple of bones from their table.

I think Obama has a chance to shake that table up, and so he has my support!

She can keep her experience in how to rule through backroom deals.

1. Well put! Hillary and Bill did indeed shelve the health care initiative, because of push back.
They did not fight it out as if their own money were at stake.

2. My understanding is that what they proposed then is very similar
to what they propose now.

Why can't any of them just point at France and say "There it is. It works. There's the proof. Now let's do it, too."?

3. She just caved in to Rudy, for ghad's sake
Remember her $5000/child plan? Rudy called it socialism in one speech and Hillary caved. He even made a campaign ad out of it.
