Republican C-SPAN caller - OMG!
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 07:44 AM by MyPetRock
Said she was torn between Obama and Huckabee, but since Huckabee had no chance of being nominated she was going for Obama. Then added that Obama was the only REPUBLICAN besides Huckabee that was trying to help the poor people!

So to this woman Obama appears to be a Rethug. Amazing! :wow:

2. I'm sure it was an honest mistake.
I mean confusing Obama with a Republican seems a little far fetched, don't ya think? :sarcasm:

6. Well, if he does win the nomination,
arrogant behavior such as yours, and his, will keep a lot of Hillary supporters home in November. That seems to be less important to you, however, than "proving" something to Hillary supporters in the primary.

7. No, it won't.
No matter who the candidate is, there will be a huge democratic turnout in November. Huge! One of these two candidates is going to be the next President of the United States, and will do a great job.

8. Frankly, the posts here at DU in support of Clinton or Obama or Edwards has been so vile
that we should all basically stay home and let the Republicans take office.

Yeh. Afterall, the Democratic Underground has been so kind to all the Democratic candidates that any Republican looks better than Hillary or Obama.

I have no idea who you're supporting. But I have to say that DU is toxic for Democrats. If people are going to stay home because they've read comments at DU then that should say something about the state of DU and not the state of the candidates.

Maybe if the mods started deleting all posts that "Didn't help get democrats elected" then we might have a real uplifting-useful conversation instead of hit attacks against the two primary candidates remaining.

9. nope. and you're far, far more arrogant than I am. I would never
post shit like "Hillary should drop out". YOU on the other hand, pebble are constantly posting steaming piles like that about Obama.

Furthermore, you are ignorant about the realities outside the DU bubble. All polls indicate that dems are overwhelmingly happy with both candidates and will vote for whoever is the nominee.

Lastly, anyone who lets anonymous posters on a political website influence their vote, is weak.

toward him. You just add to the disgust we feel.

And what a joke trying to portray yourself as Saint cali!

Maybe you think Almighty Obama has created you in his image.

Hmm, if so, you got one thing right!

21. nope, certainly no saint. I'm as snarky as they come and I'd never
deny it, but I will vote for Clinton if she's the nominee. I have no problem saying that she has many good qualities and I'd never post the shit about her that you post about Barac.

Furthermore, I have a lot of differences with Obama and I've written about them. YOU are the syncophant who worships St Hilly.

The difference between the two of us, is I have enough sense to realize that it's vital to vote for the dem nominee. You? you're weak.

18. because HRC supporters don't want to defeat the candidate endorsed by George W Bush?
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 08:50 AM by onenote
Now who sounds like the republican?

Democrats will turn out for obama or for hrc because the alternative is, simply put, to allow the candidate supported and endorsed by chimpy and cheney to win.

Maybe some DUers can live with that result because, omg, their feelings were hurt by the arrogant behavior of supporters of the "other" candidate (and there has been overreaching by supporters on both sides here). Well, so sorry about your poor little hurt feelings. Suck it up and do the only thing that is the right thing -- vote for the Democratic nominee and in so doing, vote against the candidate supported by chimpy or cheney -- unless of course helping to enhance their legacy is something you can live with.

24. Obama disagrees with but does not demonize Republicans, or as he calls him, "Obamacans."
This is remarkable and we should revel in it--not ridicule and disparage it.

Time's Michael Duffy was on Washington Journal this morning, and he was really taken with the fact that several Republicans called in and said they could vote for Obama, but never Hillary. He found that remarkable. It's not easy to get through to C-Span.

26. Perhaps republican infighting is caused from all the
Obama love. I'm sure some of his early support was from Barack gushing enthusiasm talk radio memes against Clinton. And now they can't put the genie back in the bottle. Even with limpballs offering to have fundraisers for Hillery.
