Hillary's Wal-Mart Rumor Problem Fully Resolved
1. Hillary worked on the Board at Walmart 20 years ago, long before any scandals arose. All those scandals we have been hearing about are recent, have occurred mainly the last 2 or 3 years.

2. While a Board member, Hillary pushed for and succeeded in getting Walmart to improve environmental protection laws. She also pushed for them to hire more women.

3. Union President defends Clinton-Walmart Attack
See: http://www.observer.com/2008/union-defends-clinton-wal-mart-attack

He wrote the following in Hillary's defense after Obama attacked her over Wal-Mart ties in a recent debate.

"We know from experience that Hillary shares our belief that Wal-Mart and other
retailers have a moral responsibility to respect every worker's right to
organize. She has stood with us and has been and continues to be supportive of
our efforts to call attention to Wal-Mart's business practices that hurt
working families. And she has lent her voice to calls for the giant retailer to
change its ways.

“Over the last seven years American workers and their families have been
brutalized by corporate greed and unprecedented government indifference. Based
on our experience we are convinced that, as president, Hillary would work from
day one to restore workers rights and the institution of collective bargaining.

“Some politicians only stand up for labor at election time, but we know from
experience that Hillary will be there for workers and their unions long after
the ballots are counted.”

2. The scandals have come out in the last 2-3 years but they go back farther than that
I'll give you that Walmart wasn't the hell hole it is now but it was on it's way. Clinton shouldn't be damned for what Walmart has become but let's not give the America destroying company a pass by buying that they've only been a bad company for two or three years.

12. How could Hillary be expected to know about this 20 years ago?

13. I said in my post that she shouldn't be damned for Walmarts crimes
I was just pointing out that Walmart has been jerking this country around for more than the 2 - 3 years of scandals.

4. So they hired more women...they paid them far less than men
in similar positions. That scandal goes back to her time at Wal-mart.

I will say that she did not cause that, nor is there much she could probably do as a board member, but this is a problem Wal-mart has had for decades. They've always had scandals.

5. Except that ABC news found tapes of her not standing up for unions.
and of course there are all of those who worked with her that said that she "failed" not succeeded in doing all the things you give her credit for in your number two.

6. So Hillary was there from the beginning
And did nothing to stop Walmart from becoming the anti-union, anti-worker, anti-women, middle-class job killing machine that it is today?

Great.:eyes:
