1. Yes - but I don't know if "steady" on our current trajectory is a good thing...
Maybe that's why I'm for Hope/Healing/CHANGE

3. I think you've defined steady wrong...rofl
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 05:22 PM by xultar
it doesn't mean continuing the course...
it means a direct movement on a course... So she can set the right course then stay steady on that course.

sure footed, like steadying a rocking ship.

6. I don't trust either of their steering ability. I don't want some guy making me feel good
while fucking up or some lady telling me how great she is while fucking up.

Obama and Hillary are two peas in the same pod.

Billary= Yesterday, Monica, nafta, division

(Yes, I just donated to the Obama campaign.)

Without this, we just don't get anything passed. Choose your favorite energy independence plan and watch it go down the drain without this.

7. Those are the current messages from the respective campaigns
I would argue that:

Obama = Steady/Competence/Healing/Change

Hillary = Steady/Competence/Healing/Change

9. I'm trying to gauge how people here identify their own reasons for voting their way.
I think most people could boil their preference down to a few words.

Whether it is true or based on facts, emotions, colored by one's experience, one's definition of the word, etc. is a different conversation.

First I am curious to see how people identify their own reasons.

14. My own take
Hillary = Work to Accomplish Change.

Obama = Inspire People to Want Change.

To me, both are valid appoaches that carry some flaws.

Hillary's flaw is assuming people will fight with her for the change we need.

Obama's flaw is assuming the GOP cares what the people want.

Hillary's strength is she knows what levers to pull and whose butts to kick. Lyndon Johnson was also good at this.

Obama's strength is getting the mass of people behind him. Ronald Reagan was also good at this.

16. Brilliant analysis in my opinion. Maybe you should start a thread on it...
But then again, would the 6 people on this board that are reading with an open mind be able to find it?

30. Hillary's weakness is she knows what books need to stay closed for Poppy Bush.

http://consortiumnews.com/2006/111106.html

Weak for the REST of the nation. But it manages to line Bill's bank account by the tens of millions these days.

13. Of course it is news to you.
Corporate media is hardly going to discuss the longtime protection of the Bushes by the Clintons. They prefer blue dresses and blowjobs. Good smokescreens for the coverups for Poppy Bush.

18. Here
http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/hillary_clinton_comes_out_for_government_transparency/

Hillary on Government transparency:

“We’re going to get the government into the 21st century to make it more cost effective. Nobody should have to see a government waste billions and billions of dollars, see these no bid contracts nobody can explain or hold accountable.

“I want to put everything on the Internet. I want you to see the budget of every agency. I want you to track everything that goes on in your government. You pay for it. You should know about it.

“We should even have a government blogging team where people in agencies are constantly telling all of you, the taxpayers, the citizens of America, everything that’s going on so that you have up to the minute information about what your government is doing so that you, too, can be informed and hold the government accountable.”

22. HHAH - Bill said the same but we got CLOSED BOOKS on the most serious matters that ended up
flying airplanes into buildings.

Don't you GET the difference between website campaign promises and TRUTH OF THE ACTUAL RECORDS of these people once they get INTO office?

Fer chrissakes - READ A REAL REPORT or a REAL book on the subjects that matter to whether or not we go to war, or whether terrorists target us, or how much damage the dumping of TONS of cheap IranContra cocaine into black communities has devastated those communities for generations.

We ended up with Bush2 BECAUSE of Clintons siding with closed government. 9-11, Iraq war and soon to be war with Iran are all DIRECT CONSEQUENCES of Clintons siding with the secrecy and privilege of the Bushes.

that I've never read a real book or a real report is noted for what it is.

Your histrionics aside, Hillary Clinton does not equal Bill Clinton.

27. Hillary is STUCK having to continue the coverups or risk exposing Bill's complicity.
Get real.

YOU are the one assuming that Hillary will choose our right to open government over protecting her husband's legacy - a legacy she claims to share with him on the most important matters.

That type of faith isn't even cute when it endangers this nation in so many ways.

The candidates of change were Edwards, Kucinich and Gravel but instead Obama supporters ignored them for feel good buzz words.

So depressing.
