3. None of the above. The Democratic party has made it about race and sexism.
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 05:54 PM by saracat
And many think racism is apparently worse than sexism.

4. None of those. It's about who is best to lead, and that's Obama.
Hillary does not stand for Democratic values. Obama does.

11. Obama is standing with his Republican support.
Hillary has stood for Democratic ideas for years.

16. Yeah. Like reaching across the aisle, giving a seat to insurance companies and
corporations(promising them that seat)and making snide comments about the issue of poverty. Instigating ageism and having no respect for baby boomer's. Inferring that he and his "voters " would not support the democratic nominee if it is not himself.Real Democratic values! And anyone who claims Joe Lieberman as his "mentor' and is 'proud" of it hasn't any Democratic values. JMHO. I do not like this man.

20. How can you make such a sweeping pronouncement
when there are no significant differences between the stated positions of Obama and Clinton?

25. What civil discourse offered up by an O-merican
-You make a sweeping pronouncement in support of one candidate.
-I ask you how you came to that sweeping pronouncement.
-You accuse me of not paying attention and being brain dead.

I guess not hating "other ways of seeing the world" relative to whether they support your candidate.
I guess the "politics of inclusion" don't include civil discourse.

6. Combination of the war, the economy, health care and the enviroment.
These are the main issues on people's minds.

2004 was all about the war. In 2008, it's a bit more nuanced. The country is falling apart, and needs extreme attention in many areas.

10. Republicon corruption of the Constitution, economic failure, and amoral deviancy
These are the distinguishing hallmarks of republiconism. Their lies, corruption, and incompetence have been wholesale anti_American from the git go, and they have wreaked enormous damage and dishonor upon our nation. The central issue - remove and prosecute the republicon criminals, and restore prosperity, dignity, and honor to America...

14. It has to be the war
Like the doctor's oath: "First do no harm" Sure the economy sucks. Sure the environment is in grave danger. Both of those issues are relates to the war, and war in general. The amount we spend in Iraq would pay for health care. There are so many more things wrong with the war that I have lost count. End the war, bring our troops home, and THEN go to work on our national problems.
