Clinton and Obama tied in my precinct.--WA state. 2 delegates each |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 06:34 PM by Evergreen Emerald
My daughter and I are delegates. It was quite a fun experience. The gym held several precincts, the amount of people who showed up exceeded expectations. There were hundreds.
We all chose sides (tied) and after debates where nearly everyone spoke, no one changed their minds!
Everyone agreed that no matter who is chosen, they will vote for the nominee. One woman said she is not voting for Obama, because his wife said she would not necessarily vote for the democratic nominee. People were upset by that statement.
It was quite an experience. And, my daughter's first caucus.

Then congressional district, then state.
I'm glad they're scheduled on Saturdays!

13. I would ask you to stop calling me a liar. I have researched the issues |
|
and made a choice for the candidate that think will be best for America. I did not correct anyone who spoke, no matter if I disagreed with them or not.
In this case, I heard the same thing on DU, but I did not say that.
You and I can disagree and I can give you a list of lies Obama tells to get elected. But I would ask you to stop attacking me.

what was posted on DU was a twisted distortion. No matter. I wasn't attacking you. I was making an observation about your candidate and her "Camp".

vote for the democratic nominee no matter who it was. And the woman said that Michelle Obama did not say that she would.

31. And "campaign for" is NOT the same as "vote" for. She was never asked if she would |
|
vote for Hillary. She was asked if she would campaign and WORK FOR her. Michelle said she'd have to think about it.

if it were Clinton. Now, we can parse words if you want to...but that is what she said.
And, the caucus is not DU where attacks are common place. The woman was correct.

It was in the context of everyone agreeing that we would support the democratic nominee, and a woman said that Michelle Obama would not say that.

"Working to support" and "voting" are two entirely different things. The person at your caucus twisted Michelle Obama's words, and that should have been corrected.
I certainly would have corrected her.

37. It's a good snip, but the reality is in the context. |
|
Remember, Michelle Obama went on to say, "You know, everyone in this party is going to work hard for whoever the nominee is. I think that we're all working for the same thing. and, you know, I think our goal is to make sure that the person in the White House is going to take this country in a different direction. I happen to believe that Barack is the only person who can really do that."

His precinct when 67 Obama to 18 for Hillary....if I recall correctly, Hillary got 1 delegat to Obama's 5 or 6 and honestly, I don't know if that was for the whole place or just his group of 85. The turnout was double of 2004

42. Michelle's comment was discussed at length on... |
|
John Rothman's show on KGO San Francisco early this morning. When asked if she would support the Democratic nominee, Michelle had to pause and think about it. There should have been no pause, no reflection time. No one has asked Hillary that question so I won't try to put words in her mouth.
Little things like this are what the cameras and mics are focused on right now. This was an error in Michelle's preparation for the interview.
