Obama Directly Attacks Bill's Presidency, Blames It For Massive Dem Losses
In what may be Obama's most direct and aggressive criticism of Bill Clinton's presidency yet, the Obama campaign dropped a new mailer just before Super Tuesday that blasts "the Clintons" for wreaking massive losses on the Democratic party throughout the 1990s.

"8 years of the Clintons, major losses for Democrats across the nation," reads the mailer, which goes on to list the post-1992 losses suffered by Dems among governors, Senators and members of the House of Representatives. The mailer was forwarded to us by a political operative who told us it was sent to Alaska, though it was probably sent elsewhere, too.

I have NEVER seen a reporter call Obama on his lies. And here we have Clinton telling the truth--and an ABC reporter bashes him with lies. That propaganda machine is still out to get the Clintons. And, below is the thread about it. No one questions the reporter's accuracy. Rather they believe him and bash Clinton.

23. In m any polls Bill Clinton is voted one of the 5 greatest presidents of all time.
And Obama knows better, I bet he can't get as much done with both houses democrat as Bill Clinton did with both houses republican, he is going to have to put his accomplishments where his mouth is if he is elected in the GE.

27. When all is said & done, Bill's favorability ratings will be in the basement....
guaranteed. He's lost some lifelong allies with his shenanigans, and it won't soon be forgotten.

30. Polls-smolls...in a historical sense...
Clinton caused bad things for the American people and the democratic party that polls don't even take into account.

1. Clinton stopped the investigation into Iran-Contra and BCCI which WAS finding info that lead to GHB and GWB--drug laundering, money laundering, and weapons for hostages, etc. Had he not stopped those important investigations GWB and GHB would be in jail, not enjoying life sitting pretty in the White House.

2. Clinton got impeached. Despite that his lie wasn't about national security, there was a reaction to
the impeachment. The reaction was a swing towards...no don't gag..."compassionate conservatism".

It was a direct result of people feeling that he was dirty and disrespected the hallowed halls of the White house and brought shame on our country.

It was so bad that he couldn't even campaign with Gore in 2000.

It's a fact that in terms of the 2000 election HE CAUSED Bush to happen.

16. That is a valid point.
However, it is equally important to remember that Bill Clinton pushed the 1996 law that did severe damage to the Great Writ; what Bush did to habeas corpus was only possible because it was a second step in the progression that Clinton started.

24. Bill C. has great street smarts and an ability to talk his way out
of all kinds of situations BUT this is not the sort of intelligence we need at present. We need something more far-ranging.

28. What an arrogant ass Obama is. As if it was Clinton's fault the republicans
attacked him constantly. As if he will be immuned to the republican machine. Look at Congress today. The republicans do nothing but attack and obstruct. Of course they had the media too.

But to re-write history and blame Clinton for what happened, is simply arrogant, and ignorant of history.

That is the problem with what he said.
